I go from a Z to a Mini to a Z to Mini to Z to a Mini... No hard feelings, love Zs but also love Minis :yum:. Any Hawaii peeps or others willing to ship, check this out: https://miniofhawaii.cms.dealer.com/...bac47f0ad3.htm Low mileage like new Touring beauty. I'm sure I'll be back, hopefully they still make Zs by then. :icon14: Here's my new beauty.

i would post a like, but really, a bmw? those things fall apart.

babyzilla 08-03-2018 05:55 PM

Congrats. Do you just constantly/consistently lose $ on the trades?

Hate those things, congrats.

Mini's have gotten a lot better. There's just something about a buzzy 4 banger turbo in a light go kart like car and this time in a convertible.

Get both.

i do but I'm having fun with these cars. I pay them off in less that year so I have plenty of equity going in. Some day I'll keep a Z or Mini for good, like my 16 year old Jeep Liberty.

That my friend is EXACTLY what I need to do!!

Whatever floats your boat.

I like the older Mini's when they first came out about 16 years ago better, and the ones that came out 50 years ago even better, but prefer rear wheel drive the most.

Congrats & enjoy Ben

I did European Delivery when I picked up my M2. I'd love to do it again, but buying another BMW or Porsche in the next year or two may not be realistic. So I was thinking, rent a Mini for two weeks in Germany and drive the Swiss & Austrian alps. Would there be a specific Mini that you'd recommend?

Sounds like an awesome trip! If you need space for gear the Countryman S will work. The Cooper S Hatch 4 door is just the right size and drives like a Mini. If you can live with a 2 door then the Cooper S hatch in hardtop or convertible. Just make sure it's the S with the turbo engine.

Congratulations Ben enjoy you’re Mini. I know you will miss the Z.

A mini might be fine on the island. I've only been to Maui, but there's just no place to stretch out the legs of a real sports car there....I think the fastest speed limit I saw was 50, and the twisty roads have too damn much traffic to have any fun.

But I'm not a fan of the boxy looks.

Exactly, some of the most fun cars I had weren't "fast". You could drive them hard because of it without committing any felonies. My favorite mountain carver so far has been a Mazda 3 of all things, a regular one. And I had a Mazdaspeed3. It's not fun when your car is too fast for the roads.
