I have pearl white. It's an off-white pearl, and the touchup kits tend to be more white than they should be and lack the pearl. It'll look like you touched it up with a white out pen. Pearl is pretty much the most difficult paint style to match. That said, I have some spots that were fixed up and I can't tell unless I know where to look.
It looks clean even when dirty, and looks especially nice when actually clean. Also hides swirls and stuff well. Get a clear bra asap and you won't really have to worry about it. It's black under the paint, unfortunate for white cars. Last edited by CRiZO; 07-25-2018 at 12:16 AM. |

Clear bra will help, but it won't prevent paint damage entirely.

Pearl white sucks...looks awesome when clean but very difficult to match if you have blemishes. And trust me you will lol I swear my paint will chip of you look at the Damn thing long enough! I personally would have went PW again but it is very difficult to paint match for anything otc..

Gun Metallic hides a lot of stuff. You really have to look hard to see some of my stone chips in the front.

PW is beautiful, especially under the sunlight.
It also doesn't show the dust that much comparing to the darker colors. IMO, just get the color you like the most. Any good paint shops will be able to match the color. Hopefully you won't have to do it. |

Everyone will probably just suggest what they have, but after a lot of research I landed on Suntek PPF Ultra. It's been extremely durable (hitting flying rocks on the highway had zero affect) and is pretty much invisible. Self healing and nothing seems to stick to or stain it.

Had a PW wrx. Looks amazing when taken care of, especially in that last half hour of the day @ Sunset.
No touch up paint will match, so get the clear bra at any/all cost. The clear bra is the best investment or car "mod" I've ever spent money on. Just get it. I'm lost on why people only do the first third of the hood. Do the ENTIRE hood or NOT at all. Ge the entire front bumper done. The lower side skirts will get rock chipped to all hell, so get those done if you can (chances are they will try to get out of doing them). Lastly: Following distance = longer the better, but there's a sweet spot. |
