That is not a 2-3k hit, 1-1.5k at the most if no structure damage underneath. I just had my front upper/lower Nismo bumper replaced, along with 1 protector the rivets, paint and misc, along with labor.. The estimate was $2100 and that was at full list price.

that sucks... it's fortunate that they didn't take off after the accident. sadly, many people would these days.

the damage doesn't look too bad, probably rear bumper cover plus some work on the rear fender. keep the pictures of the damage in case you need to show the next owner about it.
