Besides everyone's good comments here about people texting and talking and not paying attention to their driving, which I see every day, I also try to keep in my mind that most of the cars on the road don't have the brakes our cars have. I have had people following me way too close, and if I had to make an emergency stop, there is no way they could stop as quickly.

I had to make an emergency, panic stop last year in my old 350, when a car suddenly changed lanes and about ran a few of us off the road ......... I was shocked and grinning afterwards at just how fast and short of a distance I came to a full stop

no bueno. i yell at the gf all the time for not leaving room. if someone is on your ass you back off the person in front of you. if i've got extra room to stop i can do it slower so the tard in the ford step-side behind me has time to stop.

$hit I'm pissed because I already have rock chips in my windshield and front bumper with less than 400 miles on it.
I would be crying also!
