VIN decoder to produce build sheet?
 

My wife and I are selling our 2014 Z 7AT Touring Sport w Navigation. Naturally, potential buyers are asking questions about the vehicle.

In short, I'd like to have a comprehensive list of what might appear on a "build sheet" -- all of the interior, exterior, brakes, suspension, etc. features that are on/part of our specific vehicle to put in our vehicle's ad, thereby allowing people to get answers to potential questions before they communicate with me.

Are there any webisites where I could enter our VIN and get such a comprehensive list?

Will Nissan be able to give me such a list?

Thanks, but I'm looking for a very comprehensive list of features such as seat covering, upgraded brakes in the sport package, navigation package features, etc. You know, a list that has on it things like cigarette lighter, glove box, garage door opener, all the controls, etc. etc. etc. I'd rather copy and paste a list rather than create it from scratch.

While I'm typing, is there a place on this site that lists the specific features of the touring, sport trim for the 2014?

However, the rather long list below does not account for the added/changed features of the Sport Package nor the Nav. option. If I can find the exact features of the sport and nav I can modify list of the standard "Touring" model.

I tried this VIN decoder a while back, I don't believe it was meant for Canadian Z cars. Many of the specs and options were off. I say head into the local dealer and let him run the VIN for you.

You mean you're trying to find like a window sticker for your car? Like what it came with from the factory in terms of accessories and stuff?

How about this? Only works on 2013 and up, so I couldn't try it...

I called Nissan before starting this thread. To put it mildly, they were not cooperative. I believe I made a mistake when I said right off the bat that I was selling the vehicle and that was why I was requesting the information. Immediately after hearing that, the rep. said "will you give us a chance to buy your vehicle?" I politely declined because I felt that I could get much more money for the vehicle if I sold it to a private party. Well, saying that didn't help my cause, either.

I know that if I had indeed told them that I would sell it to them that they sure would have found out exactly what our vehicle's features and exact specs were.

I was hoping that there was an official Nissan web site where an owner could enter his/her vehicle's VIN and, voila, all of the vehicles features would be listed, as they would on a build sheet. I figured if anyone knew about such a site, owners here would know about it.

Do you remember which features in the above list are different on Canadian vehicles?

I tried entering our '14's VIN. The pdf it produced could not be read by Adobe or Chrome. Too bad.
