On the other hand, if you look at the modded domestic crew (like, seriously motor modded...Im not talking lowering springs and wheels douches) - they obviously bought the car because the ease of mod-ability and a self-proclaimed love for their vehicle of choice. Its a much smaller, generally tighter-knit community because everyone else and their mother wants a true sports car like a Scion tC with a dealer-installed TRD supercharger kit. They need to take what respect they can get, and being as I HAD a modded Camaro like that, getting a thumbs up from an import guy was an immediate sign that he was NOT a douche, and I didn't hesitate to throw one back.

To be honest, I miss the community I had back in Omaha, NE. Sounds silly, but they had some SERIOUS car guys out there, that really did whatever they could to go fast as cheap as possible. No flashy body kits or ******** like that - a lot of really tasteful stuff. We had a weekly car show at a local bar/restaurant that, on a day with good weather, 200+ people would show. Who cares how many were repeat attendees...it was just nice to BS and get some real car enthusiast chatter in there. Rat rods, ground-up classic resto's, new age tuners - you name it, it was there. And everyone got along. Ok, minus the dumbasses showing up with their sound systems and blasting them while they rolled hard through the lot - and THOSE are the same kinds of guys I don't want to associate with.

Even though he was KINDA a douche, we had a cop who showed in uniform all the time....off duty in his 60's Chevelle. But none the less, it did a decent job warding off the morons tried doing burnouts and rolling through subs-a-blaring...

I try to wave if it permits at all the Z heritage lines 240,300,350, or 370Z but unfortunately in california everyone is ignorant as fxxk and won't return your waves or thumbs up and some will even go out of their way just to flip you off or stair at you like you're retarded. I think when you do a thumbs up to them the people sitting in the 350Z is going "that fxxker in the 370 wants to race me!" But anyway, my fellow 370Z that I've seen on the road all gave me thumbs up when I do it, so again the 350Z community pisses me off a bit. lol
