Road & Track puts the Nismo in Top 3
Check out the January 2010 Road and Track.
Its actually a Drift Test but they tested 7 current cars and said "The 370Z NEARLY came away as the overall winner of this test. They gave it a perfect score under Steering, Initiation, Balance and Overall Durability. 2nd place was the Vette and first was the M3. Bear in mind the price as tested for the Vette was $70K, M3 was $66K so were 26-30K less. That 26-30K would buy some nice mods! I have to agree the M3 is a great car. Had an 02 with SMG, really liked that car, felt like a rocket yet it was only 333HP. Looks a little feminine in stock form but a great car none the less. Suppose its time I learn how to drift

I think the article was posted, no?
This is where we came up with the whole discussion about how bad the Z's parking brake is. That was one of two areas where we lost the points that would have given us the win.

I wonder how many of those Vette and M3 guys would actually drift their cars! I know my friend will not do so with his Z06! He will barely drive more than 80 MPH!!!

I thought that article was kinda bias when they rated the 370z. If you notice the points distribution, the Z got like 1 point out of 5 for braking and the only thing they mention about the braking system wasn't even that bad to deserve 1 point. Otherwise, I think the Nismo 370Z would have gotten 1st place as the ultimate drift car. Then again, I'm not trying to say I know for a fact that the Nismo 370z is a better stock drift car than the M3 or the Corvette Grand Touring, but I do think Road & Track kinda jacked the Nismo Z on the braking catagory for the points. Otherwise, the 370Z scored super well on all of the other catagories.

Not a bad review. Glad to see the 370Z finshed so well. As a drifting article, I figured it would land towards the top. The 370Z has always been very flickable, tossable, and driftable.
