My Long Journey to 370Z Ownership Has Ended!!
I've been a fairly active member of this forum since '09 when these things came out. I've always been a huge 370 fan, but for whatever reason never bought one. In that time, I've had a Mercedes C Class, a BMW Z4, an Infiniti Q50S, and a Corvette Grand Sport. But yesterday, I finally got the car, that I think in the back of my mind, I've always wanted.
I sold the Grand Sport and got a Z. The Corvette just didn't match my personality, it's more of a muscle car, and I've never been a big muscle car guy. It had a manual transmission which I loved, but on the Z I went 7AT just because I really enjoy the responsiveness, the throttle blips, etc... And thank you to forum member jchammond for giving me great 7AT info in the past. So anyway, after a long, long wait, I finally have my Z. 2016 7AT, currently has 5,600 miles on it. Thanks to everyone on here that have helped me learn more about all things Z. Here are a couple of pretty bad quality pics, one at the dealership and one safely at home. |

I too sold my Vette GS & bought the Z. It was my 4th Vette but a guy on one of the forums where I used to hang out really wanted my C6 , bought it sight unseen, except for pictures, & paid enough for it that I just couldn't refuse the sale. I'm happy with the Z , my first Z was a '73.
P.S. Love the colour by the way !!

Congrats!
Beware of the mod bug. It's like a tick. Once it gets under your skin. There is no way to get it back out. If you do a trackday. That's a rabbit hole with no bottom.

Congratulations on your Z beautiful color and your journey has just began! I think you will really like your Z more than the Corvette Grand Sport you had because paying Corvette tax is never fun. Do have any future plans for your Z?

Thanks all for the kind words. I'm really excited about this car. My wife had a red 240Z in college, which is still her favorite car ever. I'm just going to try to keep her out of mine as much as possible! Just bought her a new car too, so hopefully that will help. One of my goals is to surprise her with a completely restored 240 someday.
