Default Overheating Issue Going Mainstream??

Hi all,
Just picked up the latest issue of Motor Trend, which also happens to be the Car Of The Year issue. The Z was nominated, however, in the article, it mentioned the fact that after only a couple of hot laps around the track, the car went into limp mode due to oil temps... Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is the first major publication that has brought light to this issue??
Merry Christmas!

Yeah...This is really old news. They probably didn't put a cooler on the MT test car cause they didn't think the reviewers knew what a Track was....

Kudos to the Fusion for Car of the year though....

A lot of this could have been avoided by Nissan not putting oil coolers in the test vehicles, or, putting coolers in the production vehicles.

Then it wouldn't have been a surprise / issue to anyone once the vehicle went public.

I really don't know what the Nissan Co. enginneers/technicians were thinking when designing some of the sytems in the 370.

Some of the stuff is beyond believe!

Where else? The radio face? heh. I can only think of a handful of other gauges they they could have used, but then they'd have to find a place for the clock.

Why not the radio face? That's where the clock was on my 350. They could've also moved the clock over to the digital information display on the left, so that we could toggle between clock, mpg, outside temp, etc. etc. I do miss having the digital speedometer in the first center gauge pod.

Personally, I'd want an oil pressure gauge. Those come in handy...

I just wish my fuel and water temp gauges were slick little needles and not that massive silver plastic atrocity.

Althought the Fusion is a GREAT car, MT is a shìtrag and their COTY award has been a joke for decades. But the mainstream media still touts the award, go figure.

BTW, worthy to note I dont disagree with the clock on the radio face - every other car Ive had has had that, but it seems a lot of asian cars (and Fords?) like to put those totally dedicated clocks. Why, I'll probably never understand. I kinda like GM's setups.
