I agree

FuszNissan 12-24-2009 02:39 PM

What's a lot of money?

Scott@FontanaNissan 12-24-2009 02:59 PM

Gut it! Then your hp/weight ratio will be better! That will be the cheapest route! Oh...I can send you some Fontana Nissan decals...they are good for 10whp! ;)

You could buy mods for the car, or you could trade it for a GT-R. Or...rice it out with multicolored body panels, skull hub caps, and decals with japanese writing which should net you at least a million horsepower.

370zdub 12-24-2009 11:28 PM

^^^^bwahahahahaha!!!

SophiaZ 12-24-2009 11:31 PM

I don't agree with anyone on here :( Between the High Flow Cats, exhaust, and dual air intake I gained atleast 50+ whp. Sounds..looks..and feels GREAT! Good luck..and by the way..I'm all Stillen except the Nismo exhaust

Another case of not researching and getting the newbie flaming for it, thats about all thats on this site is how to get more power so just look around the threads.

nogoodname 12-24-2009 11:33 PM

No way 50+ at the wheels.

dyno proven, before and after? Kinda hard to beleive that one. So you are saying you have 383 HP at the crank?

SophiaZ 12-24-2009 11:34 PM

And don't let others piss you off by talking about a ricer...... A ricer is someone who doesnt know what to do..and only improves on looks...the shitty way :) Go mechanically and you'll be good!!!!! :)

kannibul 12-24-2009 11:34 PM

dood, you have to nauce it. It sounds like with sauce, but its a gas yo.

Don't forget the NIZZZMO has 350HP at the crank to start with due to the higher rev limit.

Snakes709 12-24-2009 11:41 PM

Get nitrous....cheap and u can get alot of hp. My nitrous cost less then a catback exhaust and it will give me 100hp

SophiaZ 12-24-2009 11:42 PM

Sorry, can't prove it til a dyno :( BUT..I was told by my mechanic..who has built many exotic an domestic cars...said so. He's in-love with my car...being a guy who owns and rebuilt a 1965 Mustang...... 1050 whp!!!!!! He's telling me what I should do to my Z to make it the best...of any Z ever built. Doubt I'll follow thru as I only have so much money

:iagree:

it just a little high for what is normally gained.

SophiaZ 12-24-2009 11:44 PM

sorry..... +

nogoodname 12-24-2009 11:44 PM

Maybe full bolt-on's and a tune will get 50+ at the wheels and depends on which dyno too.

Snakes709 12-24-2009 11:48 PM

Intake + HFC + Exhaust + Tune only netted a few people 38whp~ Not sure how u got 50 in your mind

To the OP...like i said...this is all u need :D

Have you tried the turbonator? Doubles both your mpg and horsepower

http://www.yourhotcar.com/productIma...4aaf_6093.jpeg

That's the stage 2 though, its a little expensive coz it triples it. You'll be basically wasting tires.. Stage 1 is more than enough

Happy modding and let us know how it goes

:iagree: My friend has a 288hp Cavalier thanks to the turbonator. And under the right driving conditions it actually makes fuel you can sell back to the station.

Wut? Your mechanic has a dynamometer in his head? Must be a DynoJet, 'cause its reading high...or he is just high as a kite. And from the sounds of it, owning a 1050 WHP Mustang and all, it sounds like he wants to give your car so much power its pointless. Sweet. Twin-Turbo it is!

I <3 this thread - the title alone made it worth it to come in.

Ah hemmm.....this ricer did some mechanical and he's still driving one of the worst rice cookers I've ever seen!

If you do bolt-ons they will get you 30-40whp depending on the ones you get and the cheapest form of power is N2O and I just so happen to be selling a New kit never used with all of the saftey equipment you would need!!! :)

yes and its already got a better tune and better parts, so adding the same parts we would wont net 50 whp on top of the 350 they already have. So if he has a Nismo then he is saying he is at 400 crank hp, highly unlikly. I think his mech is saying all this to get him to keep adding stuff and paying the mech.

Isnt that what mechanics who want more business do best? Inflate your ego? heh

"Better parts" is a stretch - I'll take ANY of the other aftermarket CBE's over the NISMO CBE any day. Not talking the suspension stuff of course.

Zsteve 12-25-2009 08:52 AM

well I meant better than the stock ones us non Nismo guys have. when we add our aftermarket we have better than the Nismo stock parts.

I'd be amazed, except that's almost jokingly easy, nowadays. My friend in Omaha had home-built twin-turbo Silverado that was pushing 1100 WHP/Torque (yeah, that much torque, too). Difference is, his power went to the ground and he was running 10.0x's with full 5000lb race weight lol. Sadly, he kept popping head gaskets until he found out there was a microfracture in the block causing the heads to lift eventually. He ended up fixing it and selling it to some dude in Mexico before it ran a 9 unfortunately. It had all the potential, too...

Not to mention the bazillion big-turbo 2JZ-GTW Supra's out there.

Oh I agree, it's just that this is the same guy with a "head dyno" who told Sophia she was pulling an extra 50+ whp so his numbers are highly suspect.

Ohhhh haha, I didnt even think of that until now. Touche! Maybe 1050 WHP is more like, 510.0? Switched those wacky numbers around...

galtamar 12-25-2009 09:19 AM

Since the NISMO already has a decent exaust ill just put a HFC and intakes, thats a good start IMO. But like has been said before cheapest HP gain is
N2O.
