Since you have the Nismo and its exhuast is already a little better than stock ones, I would go LTHs by FI. Matt has the Nismo and put on HFCs and it didnt change the sound much, so the LTHs will add power and make it sound a little louder without it sounding too loud. IMO.

Careful, not everyone can go without an emissions inspection :)

Not saying he cant, I'd assume NC is pretty lax...

You are going the correct route. Nitrous is a cheap thrill, but short and sweet. I personally would not add something to my car that substantially increases the power like Nitrous. Scares the hell out of me, my transmission, my connecting rods and just about any other moving part in my car's drivetrain. Flame suit ON. :icon17:

Guy buys a NISMO and asks for cheap HP? Next time buy a base model and put the extra 8K or so into motor work..

Somethings a little fishy with this one..:stirthepot:

Generally people in that situation wouldnt have the spare cash to blow on mods in the first place, even IF they got the cheaper one.

I said it once before, I'll say it again - get a freaking Nismo if you DON'T want to mod, or you have a ****-ton of cash to blow around. Unless your name is motoextreme.

motoextreme 12-25-2009 11:38 AM

HAHHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA

That's not nice...

Its not that I wanted to blow a ton of cash, just purchased a cheaper car so I would have $ to make it my own. Already owned all the exotics, they don't do it for me as anyone can finance something. I just want a Drivers car that I feel I had a role in building.

All kidding aside...I'm out of ideas for mods until that SC system comes out. I truly can't think of a thing:shakes head: Suppose that's good news.

Guess I just need to open all these boxes and enjoy the car now

motoextreme 12-25-2009 11:40 AM

PS. I dont mean Cheaper in a bad sense but rather compared to a Porsche or other exotic. That comment will get me booted from the board! :)

motoextreme 12-25-2009 11:46 AM

P.S.S. He sounds young, I sure the heck couldnt afford a Z in my early 20's.

Bear in mind I'm so old I'm saving up for mods for my coffin. Think I may do the vented lid, carbon fiber sides and maybe the Volk roller wheels on the bottom. Can't decide if I should go Carbon Kevlar for the bed back or just straight carbon. Titanium hinges are definitely a must though!!

Dude, a car-themed coffin would be sick. Make sure to get the stick-on fender vents, too lol.

Anyway, trust me I understand your situation. And from the sounds of it, you have that cash to blow if you want. Younger guys just don't generally, its just the way it is heh.

motoextreme 12-25-2009 11:52 AM

Its all good...

Tell us again why your working on Christmas? Guess I can't blame you, I have 40 emails from our Hong Kong office that I can't get myself to respond to yet. Today's a day to relax and not feel pressured to do ANYTHING!

Time for a beer yet?

Just a small gear in a massive machine, per say. But yes, if I could talk about it, not only would you be interested, but somewhat terrified :-p

Larry Miller, the owner of the local NBA team and quite a few car dealerships, was buried this year in this...

That's cool, sad but cool. Cobra's are sweet.. If I could fit in one I'd have one by now but they are not great for taller guys (unfortunately)
