Big disappointment to Ventus V12 EVO2 !!

I'm lucky to get 7,000 miles out of the rear, and 14,000 miles out of the front.

This time, of course, I also get the wheel alignment when I get them installed. Just before I got a maintenance and there came out no specific problem which might affect to rear tires' rapid wear-out (just a battery changed).

Currently I have yellow on front tires and red on rears, so I will keep the current front ones for later use.

Interestingly, I see that the Ventus V12 EVO2 has way better rating in a Korean 370Z owner forum, including from one who once temporarily resided in California. He strongly recommended to keep using it. The Korean forum members also pointed that the rapid wear-out problem must have occurred from some other reason rather than its poor quality.

Thanks everyone for useful information. And next time I'd better pay more attention to keep proper air pressure especially when the semester changes from Winter to Spring.

I hope this time I would be okay for going with the Ventus. If I suffer from any problem again, then maybe I'll post it here to let you know.

That's a good price...2 years ago, mine were a little more than $1100 OTD.

Michelin Super Sport tires would be my first choice.

Those are some slicks right there wow. Realistically you are only going to get up to about 15k on those Re11 OEM tires. And once they get low they get really slippery. Get those replaced stat. I've been using S04 pole positions from Bridgestone and typically see 15-20k on the rears and about 30-35k on the fronts.

you can't go wrong with Pilot Super Sport, and if you have the extra pennies, go for the Pilot Sport 4 S.

I had PSS, very good already, switch to 4 S last season, even better!

When using my previous PSS, I got very satisfied with its long lifespan.

But now I just don't need the expensive max performance tires.

besides the performance, it's its lifespan that be part of the reason of the higher cost....

and didn't you start this thread complaining about a short lifespan on a set of cheaper tires?

on some products, you really do pay for what you get.

Yes, I started this thread complaining about its short lifespan.

Whereas I mostly had negative ratings about V12 EVO2 in here, I got pretty different and positive rating in Korean 370Z owners' forum. Especially one who once resided in California also strongly recommended to keep using it, so I decided to see more about how it works. Also V12 EVO2 is only one available set that I can buy with Nissan's 'buy 3 tires then the another is just for $1' promotion among UHP tires.

I don't know exactly why only the rears got too fast wear-out, so it is very hard for me to choose what tire to buy. If this my second V12 EVO2 set would disappoint me again, then this will be my last time with this tire set.
