The TT RS killed in all areas, no offense to my Z, I love it, but the TT RS is way faster in the 0 60 and slightly faster on the track. Yea the TT RS cost big bucks and is only available in Europe right now but trust me the Audi kills the Z in creature comforts and interior quality. The Z is alot beter inside now but still not to the quality of the TT. I know I had the 1.8T manual and the 2.0T TT AT and it was nice just not as fast as I wanted as the turbo was too small, plus Ive always wanted a Z, and they have finally made one with a pretty good interior. Pricing aside the TT RS is IMO better in all areas, Quattro, turbo (with big gains when chipped), great gas milage, and alot of standard extra creature comforts, and the DSG is awesome and super quick, no road noise. I think a better coparison for the Z would be to the Audi TTS which is closer in performance and price.

Dunno about that, seems all references state 0-60 of about 4.6-4.7 s for the tt rs, which is about the same as the z under ideal conditions. Haven't seen any track comparisons. how faster is it?

And i sure hope it has more luxuries, considering the mafia-like price audi charges for its cars. 56 000 euros? that's about 85000 dollars here. that's bmw m3 and porsche 911 price! heck, for just 15000 more the GT-R is waiting for you!

besides, just wait until the warranty expires and that overpriced vw begins to fall apart. there's major $$$$$$$$ right there.

and i have to say i never liked the tt styling. too girly, too vw new beetle.

The video showed the difference in the 0 60 time between the two and also remember that other countries pay more for the cars than we do in the states, just check one of the other threads here that state the diff in prices for the Z between the US and like the Phillipines, so the TT RS if it were to come to the US would be a good bit less than the current price over seas. A GTS in the Phillipines would be 100K US dollars plus. The TTS is about 45K and is in the same performance range as the Z, 0 60 in 4.9 secs.

If I could I would have both cars as they really are two different cars IMO.

Yeah I saw that. They seem slightly biased toward the TT (big surprise) but even they admit the Z is waaay more care for the monies.

Something I think few could disagree with: the Z is a way nicer exterior styling. I have to admit the TT interior looks significantly better, but what good is that when you're driving a sooped-up iBug?

On a lighter note, I love hearing "synchro-rev" in other languages. UND DRIVEN!

I agree. The Z's exterior styling is FAR superior. However the TT-RS does take it in the exterior. The TT-RS is suppose to be a Cayman S fighter. That said, the Z's comparision to it and the fact that the numbers the review turned up were not much faster than the US Z's is very encouraging and should be classified as a win for the Z.

That said, the TT-RS is hot! And I love that it is a MT!

That's what I was thinking initially but the Z should be around 5-5.2 sec for 0-60 and to get to 62mph maybe 5.3???

Plus, they got a 4.5s with the Audi???

I think they just effed up the 0-60 run and didn't bother to redo it.....

i double checked the video. you're right, they do show numbers. however, they tt rs got 0-60 in 4.5 sec. that's only one or two tenths faster than the z. for a car that's lighter, has awd, more power, more torque, that's not a lot at all. i know they got 5.9 sec for the z, but that has to be the worst 0-60 run ever in a z on the dry. either they didn't launch properly, or didn't get good traction. under ideal traction, many magazines were able to get around 4.7 or 4.8 out of the z.

the laptimes weren't too different. the tt rs was faster by 0.6 sec (98.9 vs 99.5 s), which isn't that much especially considering the traction and driveability advantage of the awd system.

the price difference between other countries you mentioned and the US (not that i care about the US since i'm not american) is due to import tax. the 56000 euros price is in europe. i don't think european countries put import tax on their own products. that price would put the tt rs straight into m3 or 911 territory
