FORD integrate WAZE

So why is this relevant to our Zs? I don’t want to talk to law enforcement or be in stopped traffic with my manual trans. It has been typically dumb that autumakers have not embraced the most popular navigation system on earth. It seemed more reasonable to them to develop their own nav systems and charge $1000 or more. Giving their customers second rate nav, at best, for the premium price. WAZE is very widely used. Any time I hit the road and much traffic is out there is relevant info about the conditions. Traffic and accidents and law enforcement. A few times it has alerted me to a speed trap when my Escort radar deterctor did not until we were in the crosshairs for a certain ticket. Surely this will be adapted by others as Carplay and Android Auto have been. Of course this only relates to retrofits on our existing Zs. And it’s possible to rig it up now if you work at it. But maybe our future rides will have this. Were it not so serious, it would be comical how the automakers have forced the public to juggle their phones while driving. In the name of safety. Geezzz.

Any receiver with Mirror Link should be able to show the Waze/Google Maps/whatever navigation application. I've never used Waze, but so long as it gives audible directions (and warnings) any radio with bluetooth connectivity or an aux input should be able to use it... no need to wait for Nissan/Ford/whoever to integrate it into a vehicle then charge a premium.
