This is my daily driver -- good thing it's more comfortable to sit in than it looks :icon17: I finally learned how to get in and out of the thing without looking too goofy: you have to pretty much fully slide back the seat, then get out and slide it back to whatever feels good on next entry. Boots vs. sneakers, jacket vs. none; these tiny differences are enough to mean the steering column and seat positioning will probably have to be changed from whatever felt right the last time. And, I mean, I'm like only 5'7" with perfect posture. I have absolutely no fucking idea how anyone in the 6' or taller range is getting in and out  They must all buy the spider and just climb in and out the open roof :icon17: Anyway, a few more pics, including a shot of the interior. It's a tight fit. With the 4C, you wear the car as much as drive it :icon17: http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...220-172251.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...220-172352.jpg http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...220-172544.jpg Oh, yeah... and this is what it's capable of in the right hands  http://www.the370z.com/members/jordo...s-original.jpg |

I still like my nismo better. The different on weight to HP ratio is only .93 hp
with out mod. I will like to see how reliable is going to be. |

Oh, question. You drive it yet in city traffic at all? I love my peasant Hyundai, reliable, fast, comfy, tech but 8 gears in city traffic sucks. Always looking around for a gear. I keep it in sport and use the paddles to drive smooth. Pain in the rear (talk about first world problems) but still much better than my 370 six speed (in traffic). Funny my Volvo six speed auto with its 250 tq is PERFECT in normal D mode. 8 speeds just too much.

I've had several people refer to the Z as a "small car"; that is all relative. For me, even with 100 more horsepower it just felt a little too heavy for my liking. My preference is light-weight ideally paired with a good power to weight ratio. The 4C met those criteria for me perfectly. On that note, I wasn't trying to imply the 4C was necessarily superior to the Z; I might have kept both could I have afforded it, but I was really captivated by the 4C, felt I could probably swing the deal for one, and got tired of crossing my fingers hoping for a Z35 or new Supra being available anytime soon. Gear shifts happen in up to 130 msec, and I've never found insufficient grunt in any given gear (mercifully, only 6 to work with). In traffic I keep it in auto and if the roads are empty/twisty, switch to paddles. My only minor complaint there is that I wish they were on the column rather than the wheel, but it's not a big deal. I've only driven it a bit in "dynamic" mode, which really ratchets up its responsiveness. Once there you can ramp it up further to "race" mode where all the nannies are canceled. Haven't played with that at all yet. This review on it pretty much sums up the different modes well |

it could be a purple & pink Yugo for all I care as long as I liked it would be what matters. Just enjoy it because your paying for it & don't worry about any detractors ;). I happen to think it looks pretty sweet though. |
I, too, think it looks awesome. Though, it's sad to hear that I would, likely, not fit in it considering I'm 6'1 and north of 300lbs.

Finally took it for a spin in dynamic and race mode -- these allow you to see the psi (1.5 bars max!) oil temp, and in race mode G force in turns. Oh... it's a fun little car :yum: Every drive, no matter how prosaic, and you are a human-car hybrid. It just commands all of your attention to the act of driving. This is the most intuitive and engaging vehicle I have ever had the luck to sit in, let alone own. |
