Default Old School

Guess I'm the old school guy here. People say I'm a 20th century kind of guy, early 20th century...I can't imagine driving a sports car with an automatic and I use a map to find my way around. The last thing I want when driving a sports car is someone yaking at me from inside or out of the car. Each to his own. What I discovered is, most of us know in our heart what we want and ask others to test our want against the wisdom of others. No problem with that. But in the end, go with what you really want and you won't be disappointed. Get the car.

The last time I was in Texas visiting my daughters and my parents. The kids live in Fort Worth and my parents in Mineral Wells. Driving in Texas traffic was an experience to say the least. My kids had one of these talking navigation systems. Just about drove me nuts. I turned it off, got out a Texas map, and figured out all kinds of short cuts driving back and forth that they, living there, didn't know about. It works for some and not for others.

can't say I use a map I go with a navigation app on my blackberry, regardless you want it for the bluetooth capability. Concerning auto vs. manual, I don't know what some people are thinking but the 370z clutch is not heavy at all. Drive an american car and you'll see what a heavy clutch is. It's a sports car go with the manual, it'll take you about 10 minutes to learn but awhile to get good at it. Just take your time don't pretend your speedracer and it'll hold up great.

Yeah everyone has been telling me that if your gonna buy a sportscar might as well get a stick, that way your have full control, and in the 370z vdc can be turned off :-) SyncroRev will make downshifting a bit easier and im sure I can learn the rest. Problem is I would need someone to drive it off the lot haha. Im going to test drive a 7spd auto soon just to get a feel for the car.

I am thinking black on black roadster sport package bluetooth nav 6spd manual. Operating my phone while using stick wont be so bad with BT haha.

It's hard to find that combination out there...hopefully I spank one before the weather turns good, maybe I can work that into the price. In Michigan this car is going to sit in my garage for 5 months or so, what a shame.
