Relative mute argument if you aren't tracking your car or driving against notable competition. There is no question there are some Civic's that would wipe the floor of a 240z or 370z. DAI Yoshihara's spoon civic for one. Are you calling a Formula drift champion a retard? A drift champion that would unquestionably smash the crap out of most of us in a rickety Ecobox. Or are you just making some blanketed joke.

The way this conversation is going right here is EXACTLY why I'll NEVER own a civic.
If you own or like civics or BRZ's, the likelihood of spewing out ridiculousness in defense of your favorite econobox automobile is very high. Which means I have to associate myself with you by owning the car. And I don't wanna be associated with econobox performance activism for equal rights. You're in a civic. Accept it. You're not in a better car like the Z as Z owners must accept they don't own Porsche's n Porsche owners must accept. You're no Ferrari & Ferrari owners must accept you're no Bugatti. In a civic, you're one upping a Kia Rio. That's one to grow on. I'd never pay $45,000 for a civic when I can pay $25,000 for a GTi. |

Hey now! I owned a 2013 Civic Si! I nicknamed it the bathtub!!!
It handled like a tub, was white like a tub, was slow like a tub, and running water from a tub sounded better than the noises it made. Oh, and I could shift the stupid thing without touching the clutch. Everyone complains about 1-2 shifting in the Z, but the Civic's clutch was so light I could hulk smash my foot through the floor and not feel a single thing. Oh, and for 24k, it didn't even come with satellite radio. That car single handily made me decide to NEVER own another Honda ever again. Oh, and the Z had a higher rpm range than that POS Si did as well. V-TEC my arse. |
For all the bad rap Honda gets, mine was fantastic. It started every time, was good on gas and had enough torque to never bog down no matter how high I had let the grass grow since the last time I mowed. Also, just like their automobiles, it was stolen. :rofl2:

The car weighs only 2200 pounds and I run a close ratio Borg Warner t-5 5 speed with an R-200 3.90 rear. Every now and then I think about putting her on a dyno... |

I agree with this to a certain extent. I would much rather have a Ferrari or Lamborghini over a Bugatti anyday though. And I think I might even rather have my Z over a Porsche. Porsche is still really nice though don't get me wrong. I just love my Z :) |

"Ferrari owners must accept you're no Bugatti"... seriously wtf does that even mean. There isn't a single aspect to any argument where that makes any sense or even factually checks out. There are several Ferrari's that cost more, are worth more, and are faster than anything produced by Bugatti. The only claim behind a Bugatti (Veyron or Chiron) is acceleration and top speed, and in both regards there are cars that trump it, for less money or more. In a nut shell, the most recent Bugatti's are nothing more the exotic VW show pieces. Deny it...I dare you. Quote:

I bought this at the airport a week or two ago and was super dissapointed the civic "beat" the Z but they had a 0-60 that seemed out of place for a Z but they did have a point with the open LSD.

The Ferrari Bugatti n so forth analogies are not based on preference. They are based on power, performance n u get that you pay for. When a challenger demon can take a corner like a BUGATTI, have a Bugatti interior and so forth, I'll call them equal. But it can't. So solely getting to 60 in 2.3 seconds doesn't make them equal. This is my point. I don't own a civic or. BRZ so I'm not associated with them just by owning a Japanese car.... It's funny that you state I made a supremacist statement. Well you just made a stereotypical one. You're saying that Japanese people make one model car and they all feel the same thru the ranges? See how easy it is to do what you do, slouch. Having to break shyt down to the last compound cuz you try to twist people's points is about the most idiotic thing any forum has to deal with. :gtfo2: |
Some marques have a sense of false entitlement lol

My opinion: the new ctr is fast. but at the end of the day, it’s still a civic. and I’m def not going to spend $40k+ on a fcuking civic.

As a former Civic Si owner. I'll take my broken Ford Focus over it any day.

I own and like my Z, but the 370Z model now turns around ten years old.
No company can be perfect in all aspects, and Honda made their own masterpiece. I guess a Civic R would be equipped with newer technologies than a 370Z over all. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |
