Buy 2010 or wait for 2011?
I'm on the verge of buying a 2010 370z, but it recently came to my attention that the 2011 370's will be getting direct injection and a 20-30 hp bump. I'm wondering, would it be wise to just wait for the 2011 or should I just get the 2010 now. Also, can anyone confirm that the 2011 will indeed be getting the aforementioned upgrades?
Thanks |
No news has hit about the 2011 Z yet, I would say buy and enjoy now. If you need more power there are plenty of aftermarket parts now which will fit your need.

resdm i wouldn't hold your breath for the 2011's nissan is making little money on the z car look for it to stay the same till the car is either thrown into a hybrid version 2013 or the z35 comes out in 2014
|
:iagree: buy it now!!!!
|
Your car isn't even 2 years old yet and it's getting the boot? I would say hold on to your current car as long as possible. You can buy one of the first 400Zs.

The Infiniti m v6 didn't get di so most likely z won't get if for 2011. I'm not sure you really want di if you plan to mod your engine.

Just buy the car now and enjoy it. You won't be seeing any changes until 2012 and new model in 2015 (this is just me following the trend of 350z). |

wow we're already discussing a 2011 hybrid redo? OP read around the board it's not that difficult to get an extra 20-30hp.
|
Wait...why are we even talking about this, clearly you should be buying a 2004.5 350z.
|
seriously where are you hearing this DI thing? I havn't even fully heard the changes of the 2010 and you got scoop on 2011 already? I honestly say just buy the damn 2010 and enjoy the car and stop worrying about the NEXT generation of Zs. It'll come but not 2011, it'll most likely just stay with the same chassis for the next 4 or 5 years like the 350Z. Sure there were engine upgrades but hey whatever, you don't want to be living in the "future" live the now.

You'll get a crazy low price on a 2009 if you get one of the last clearance ones from a dealer early next year. Why wait for a 2011 that will be basically the same car and cost you more $ and wasted time? Makes no sense.
In 2011 we'll all be looking ahead to upgrade. ;) |
what is the point of waiting for 20-30
buy the Z it's a great car and where do you get your info from? I don't understand people who just see HP numbers if that is case get a used G8, it's an awesome car :rofl2: |

Just grab the 09/10. You just don't know what the '11 will have in store - it could be the same, better, or even worse. Get the sure thing...
|
if a new z comes out with DI (and uses 10% less fuel) and has an engine that wails... i'm gonna cry... and then get over it...
|
Just grab the 09.
|
Thanks for the input so far guys, I think I'm going to go for a leftover 2009. FWIW, it was a salesman at the dealership who said that they would be getting direct injection for 2011, so I guess take it for what you will.
|
salesmen know nothing, half of them think the z has a backseat.
