hi my dealer called me today they have a nice 2015 sti in stock, stage 2, 38k km. im currently driving a 370z nismo 2015, 28k km, intake, exhaust done.
Dealer said i can just trade the car. I def love the z, and love the sti too! and also i live in AB, Canada, the Z is absolutely not drivable in the winter. BUT the Z looks soooo good! SHOULD I trade the car???? OMG I wish i can have them both. Can you guys give me some ideas? EDIT 1: Thank you guys for all your kind words! I really love my Z but it's a shame that I can only drive her 5 or 6 months a year, maybe even less. STI is a good car too, and yes I vape xD/ We shouldn't judge ppl by what kind cars they drive but how they drive. My car history is 328> GCoupe> the Z, all RWD. Really tired of how rwd drive in the terrible winter even with snow tires. Sliding every corner is fun but not fun for 6 months. I hate have to drive my Q7 or truck everyday in winter. I will talk to the dealer about the price of sti and trade in value. Last edited by freefrank; 07-04-2017 at 04:05 PM. |

This is my personal take on the two
370z: Driver's car STI: Boy racer's car

If you're going to go this route or similar, I'd go Focus RS or Golf R. Might be a little more but imo so worth it

My question would be - is he trying to get rid of the STI, or does he really want the Z?
If the answer to both questions is yes, then why do you want get something he is trying hard to get rid of, or why give him something that he really wants (which you already have)? https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/s...ubaru-wrx-sti/

Easy answer there but,the only thing I don't care for on the Subaru STI is the park bench in the clouds high spoiler. Overall if you look at the facts the Subaru STI is a reliable/dependable vehicle just like the Nissan 370Z is. In my experience the Nissan 370Z is not only the best vehicle I ever owned and it is reliable/dependable too you just have to do all the maintenance on them on time just like you would any other vehicle.

Except it's not. The current Sti has a nasty habit of cracking ringlands. To comply with emissions regs, Subaru programmed in a nasty lean spot on spoolup, where they should have been going richer. If you're willing to reflash the ecu in the parking lot of the dealer before you drive it home, you'll be fine - except you just voided the warranty before you know if you got a lemon.
