Nissan 370Z Forum

Should I replace my 370z with an STI?

Snow tires? My Jeep sat in the garage all last winter. The Z did just fine with a set of snow tires on it.

I think your winters must be different than ours in Canada. There is NO WAY our Z's are anything but horrible in the snow up here.

I'm sure they are milder, but I was quite impressed with the difference snow tires made. Back when I drove my Mustang daily I never had a set for it, and there were times, I couldn't get the car out of the driveway. My Jeep is all over the place all the time in the snow. However this winter with the Z (which is my daily driver) the snow we did get it was actually great.

I've never known anyone to just want to trade something that was an even deal. Generally trading is the way people get rid of basket cases / things they can't get rid of any other way.

I managed to drive mine with bald tires in the snow. It wasn't easy but it was doable

I drove mine for 3 winters in Calgary. Did better than I expected, never got stuck.

I drove mine in less than 1 inch of snow (took it out of storage early) and I almost got stuck going into a Tim Hortons drive thru which had a gradual incline. I was idling up it and going sideways. The Z in stock form from the factory is worse than any car I have drove for winter purposes.
Summer is another story

I've driven two winters in NJ so far. Only time it was bad was when the rear tires were bald.
