I took one look at the sold 09 Chicane at the dealership and ordered one on the spot.
Same thing when the chicane yellow became available in 17, ordered one but I'm thinking maybe it should have been blue to match the truck .... oh well |
Isn't the 2018 new "edition" of the Z is a base with a stripe and only comes in yellow??? :driving: http://blog.caranddriver.com/wp-cont...NT-626x383.jpg

When I bought mine a couple of weeks ago they had a base model chicane yellow that was also manual... very tempting but I wanted all the goodies this time around. Had it been a touring it would have been mine!

I have the heritage edition and I haven't seen another one in So Cal.

I really didn’t like mine the first time I saw it, but I couldn’t turn down a great deal. Now that I’ve had it a year, I really like it. It’s “different” and I haven’t seen another one yet. Always looks clean and looks awesome with the window tint. Cop magnet for sure, but that comes with the territory.

Mine is a 2018 model year. Base,
In the year I've owned it, have only seen one other Chicane Yelliw up here in the frozen North. |
Chicane yellow is one of the most beautiful colors on the Nissan 370Z. I am glad that I purchased another Nissan 370Z and after seeing people sell and trade in their Dodge Challengers I am glad I did not purchase one after how unreliable I seen that they are. It depends on what the build numbers are for that color or that model. In 2009 that was the first year for Chicane yellow Nissan 370Z and is a 40th anniversary edition Z which is rare. In all the years I looked up the “Chicane Yellow” Nissan 370Z which had one of the most lowest production numbers of all the colors ever produced. The authentic 2018 and 2019 Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition which has the stripes and graphics only comes in “Chicane Yellow”and“Magnetic Black” are rare because after talking to a Nissan rep I found that there were only 1000 authentic Chicane Yellow Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition models produced in 2018 and 2019 each year that read Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition on the window sticker and can be approved to be a authentic or replica Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition from the Nissan dealership sales department they were originally purchased from new. Also I found out that all the authentic/real Nissan 370Z Heritage Edition models rather Chicane Yellow or Magnetic Black are a peice of Z history and will be collectors items since in 2019 the production of the Nissan 370Z will end and Nissan will be coming out with the 400Z in 2020.

2009 Chicane Yellow
The 370z came out in 2009 and at that time nissan
offered a special paint option for $500. C Yellow was the option for that year. I know, I had one and paid the extra $500 to get it. I don't remember the special color for 2010, but the 2011 color was Black Cherry Metallic. After 2011 they discontinued the option and the black Cherry stuck around for around for several years. I loved my C Yellow Z. I used get comments from people weekly. One time a guy in the crosswalk was so busy looking at the car that he tripped and fell flat on his face. His buddies were laughing so hard. Unfortunately my yellow Z had the catastrophic engine oil leak problem and the engine had to be replaced. Three times, at the dealers expense. Then I lemon lawed it in 2011 and got all my money back less $5,000. I used the refund to get a 2012 Monterey Blue Pearl that I still own. The Blue Z has been flawless but I still miss the Yellow one, I have never had a car the drew so much positive attention. The reason I got the blue one is that sadly there was no Yellow available in 2012. Interesting fact, there are no blue Nismo's. I don't know if that has changed since 2013 but originally Nismo's only came in red, white, and black. So my blue Z is even rarer than the yellow. That is the story of Chicane Yellow. I think they brought it back a few years later for a while? Cheers! Cheers! |
