How often do you use your A/C
I'm curious to see how often other Z owners feel the need to use the a/c in their cars. This is my first summer driving my Z and I have yet to use the a/c once other than to verify that it is functioning properly. I was pleasantly surprised to find that with the thermostat set to the coldest position, and the fan at low to medium speed, the airflow is able to cool the interior of the car quite effectively without having to run the compressor. Temps in Northern VA were in the mid 90s this weekend and I was very comfortable without having to use the a/c in my Z. I cannot say the same for any other vehicle that I have ever owned or driven. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this and could possibly shed some light on the reasons why.

Uh... Daily. Except for when the temp is below say 82*F and low humidity, which does't happen very often down here in this turd state.

Pretty damn close to daily unless it's nice outside

Pretty much any time I drive it from early March to late December, I will probably have the AC on. We do have a few weeks in Jan/Feb where it is almost winter.

It's almost always on, except like 2-3 days out of the year

Rarely... I prefer to drive windows down and hearing my FI exhaust
Unless I'm doing freeway speeds, then windows up and A/C or heat set to low @ 75 degrees.

I only use it on the highway when its 85+ and humid. Otherwise it's windows down and fan on with no a/c.
I'm not a big fan of the slight load on the engine when shifting through gears in city driving. |

I've been trying to get by with wound down windows, but Atlanta is getting warm. I've been playing with the auto-temp-auto setting seeing if I like it. So far it seems to do well.
I do love that even with the AC on, I can still get up and go for highway merging. |

Everyday. Temps are between 78 to mid 90s almost all year round. I did learn a long time ago that it is a good idea to run it every now and then even if you live in cold weather climates as I didn't use my ac for 3 years in my old Mitsu and it caused the compressor to fail as it was never primed for so long, so keep that in mind.

If the A/C isn't on the car isn't on because Texas is hell on earth for a black car with black leather.
