There's bad apples in every group of enthusiasts. Just do your part to not give it a bad name and let the bad ones weed themselves out.

Very true, especially amongst sport bike enthusiasts. I see people riding like morons on a daily basis. Gives the rest of us a bad rep.

LOL, yes I have a diesel. It is mandatory due to having horses. Gotta have the towing ability. Will it roll coal. Yes. Do I do it on purpose. No, for the most part. But tick me off and you will get a face full. It works better than a horn.

I feel you op.. I'm always getting Altimas or Maximas trying to race me
|
I live in E. TX. The people here are a special brand of bad drivers, but I have not experienced crazy driving seemingly related to my Z. They drive the same way around my Tundra as my Z as far as I can tell. Maybe I am not observant enough.
|
Never had tailgaters driving the 350Z (grey with a very green spoiler).
Experienced some tailgating in the 370Z just during the first spring days. Now it is very quite and only every other day a Golf* tries to keep up. *here it feels like every second car is a Golf so that might be the reason. Also why the percentage of morons driving a Golf is high. |
Knock on wood, I don't get too much in Chicago. City dwellers don't seem to be car enthusiasts generally. Many of my friends ask me when I'm going to get an adult car. I'm 66, so I tell them I will when I grow up. Of course my winter car is an Avalon so I guess you can't get more adult than that.

Here in Albuquerque, New Mexico other Z drivers are very courteous. We always throw up a peace or wave! Many of us here are part of Zociety, not sure how big that's is in other states. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Here in Denver we've got our fair share of boy racers, and the Z does attract them fairly often... Probably 2-3 times a week I'll get 'challenged' on the way to/from work.
For the most part I just wave as they go by, or watch them tear off in a cloud of tire smoke at a light. I just don't have that much to prove I guess? I will do the occasional 'cloverleaf-without-hitting-the-brakes' for a tailgater, but that's more for my own entertainment than anything else. I honestly think most folks judge the right speed for a corner by when the taillights come on in front of them; and if you don't do this you will more often than not be rewarded with shrieking high-mileage radials behind you. ;) |

About a week ago on one of our major highways here in upstate NY I had two mustangs, one on either side of me slow to match my speed then punch it a little then slow back down trying to entice me into a run. After about three tries they both accelerated hard and went off racing each other. Street racing is just not my thing, however I do like to take the Z on the back roads around my area and have some fun running it through the esses.

Drivers today are just bad, period. Driver's tests are a joke. Combine that with higher hp cars, more efficient transmissions and of course, many more gadgets for the driver to play with and you end up with 95% idiots on the road not paying attention and mashing the gas from light to light. Darwinism of bad drivers is surely needed.

Nice looking power wagon Rusty. Here is my other other vehicle. Gets me trough the trails at Rausch. I will admit I don't get any waves from other Z's when driving the Z but every Jeep waves at me in my Jeep. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5bbe1e9a1f.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I don't know what it is with this site....
Given their lack of picture auto-sizing here, it would be great if posters all knew how to size their own images before uploading or linking. |

I don't understand the gravitation towards even wanting all the in car distractions. I don't even understand why it's a selling point. It's not supposed to be a home theater video game leather sofa on wheels. Just like in the savage geese videos, is the manufacturer actually going to support fixing this **** when it goes bad in a few years? I actually look forward to driving as means of avoiding distractions. This is why we need to ban marketing as a major in all public / private education. Get back to letting engineers and designers and DRIVERS make cars fun again. I had a whole paragraph on how much I hate marketing people, but I'm going to be nice :driving: |

It's not a power thing - cheap Hondas have 300HP now - it's some sort of perception issue with the up and down of the road. As for the corners, your Z actually masks just how well it can go around a bend compared to a common econo-box... So what we figure to be not exceptionally challenging at 40mph will see a sport bike laid over to the foot-peg to do it at the same speed - and be completely out of the ballpark for the above-mentioned Honda. :driving: |

My favorite was a Challenger SRT messing around at highway speed and then we took this interchange. I know where to apex it and he didn't. Left him in the dust but it must of scared the **** out of him since he dropped down to the speed limit after. Last bit is off camber so you need to let it drift out. Apex is right where that truck is at. A lot later than you would expect if you haven't done it before.

Another one of my favorites... No one has kept up with me on this one yet. The turn's exit speed is about the flow of traffic on the highway... perfect.
