make long story short my mom was driving my car she got cut off(really bad) popped the clutch like at 60 mph..lost control of the car hit the median... she is ok ( thank god) this happened october 25...i havent been on the forums for a while thats why i havent posted it.

ChrisSlicks 12-12-2009 06:25 PM

Sorry to hear that.

Did she turn VDC off as well? I would think that VDC should have prevented excess wheel spin and a slide.

Snakes709 12-12-2009 06:25 PM

glad she is ok, did the person stop that cut her off? Any pictures?

SophiaZ 12-12-2009 06:27 PM

KillerBee370 12-12-2009 06:29 PM

So far all the major loss of control accidents have happened with VDC off, I keep it turned on for the highway at least because you never know what is going to happen. If I was letting someone else drive I would definitely make sure it was turned on (and I wouldn't show them how to turn it off, even though it's pretty obvious).

How is the car too much when she didnt crash from power? It was from some dumbass cutting her off thats all. If you arent familiar with the car things like that are possible....
