What was your weapon of choice to cut the hood, and how’d that process go for you?

Picked one of these bad boys up,

It comes with a 3in wheel. But, I would def recommended getting the one with the 4in wheel.

Process was not too hard. Took my time measuring and taping the templates. And I would take breaks so the batteries can charge and the tool can cool off. Probably a 5-6hr job.

The best part of the job. Is explaining to the wife why I am "upgrading" my car.

I’m thinking about doing this upgrade as well, even though I’m not boosted.

When my wife see’s I’m slicing up the car, she’s going to flip!

I don't know how hot it gets in SC, but it's worth the upgrade even if you are not running forced induction. My when moving rarely go above 187F. on a nice day, they hang around 183-185F. The rate at which heat is removed after stitting still is amazing. I only have the center vent too.

Just make sure all of the plastics inside of the bumper are in place and in working order. Those air guides improve efficiency.

It gets pretty damn hot! That’s 100% why I’m considering it.

Installed my Z1 intakes today along with the Dewla Dezign air guide. The Dewla took way too long! I actually called the guy and we figured out the issues. I had to pop rivets and cut some metal out (where Nissan tried to make their own guide to the radiator on top of the crash bar. Dewla ended up changing their PDF after i told him what i did and sent pictures. The intakes weren't too bad to install. I ended up running to the store 3 times and having various issues here and there. I also installed my new bottom diffuser with scrape protection. FYI. I bought it from Nengun and only paid around 450? with shipping from Japan.

Replaced my corded front PS4S with a set of Firestone Indy 500s to last until my rear PS4S are toast. 285/35/19 up front.

Also hustling to get the car ready for Tuesdays track day. Weather says 88° so it’s gonna be a hot one. That gave me the motivation to finally get around to making a duct for the oil cooler.

Looks kinda janky.. but hopefully it helps out!

Put on a Z-1 Aluminum undershroud on my 370Z. It took me 3 hours mostly because of not being able to use the rivet tool that came with it, but now I am looking forward to only having to loosen two 10mm bolts instead of the 16 bolts and 3 pushpins on the original plastic undershroud. Hopefully, it will be better vented to keep the oil a little bit cooler.

Intereesting setup. Looks simple. Definitely let us know how it does out on track.

I actually took those pics on saturday and track event was on sunday. Went to Sonoma Raceway. Temps were around 87-89° around 2pm. Not too bad. We get some gnarly heat here in Sac. I think Thunderhill was 116° this past sat.

Default Racecar Wing

So after some thought and as much as I liked my sport wing. The Z just looks right with the Nismo wing. After seeing it on danegrey's car I opted for the Siebon cf style wing.

So this thing was a straight forward install. But I dont think my measurements were perfect. The wing sits a tad bit behind. Drilling was fine and holes matched up. Got some 3m tape and fitment was like 8/10. But, I like it.
