Did you remove it completely or just not working? Mine was leaking onto my alternator.

Fluid drains out of the plug for the sensor. So unless your reservoir is empty and the PS system abandoned, I bet it's still there. Or it was removed and the line capped.

I replaced my battery and the car feels and runs noticeably better. I noticed my voltmeter was reading low when i was working on some electronic wiring in my car, and on a whim, I just went and replaced the battery since I don't remember when the last time it was changed. The car not only idles better, but other things like the fuel-trims are more in-line. I wonder if a worn battery with wonky voltages can affect the car? Seems plausible, especially since my car is now reliant on reliable voltage supply stuff like the ethanol sensor.

Oil changed, new plugs, swapped out the CAI for stock boxes w/ K&N drop-ins, fixed the clicking axle nuts and greased up the friction points on the brakes to get rid of some squeaks.
I am hoping the stock boxes and new plugs will give me a couple extra MPG with gas at $7/gal out here in CA. |

Banging my head against an issue with my car throwing the DTCs for the front O2 sensors even though the logs look good. I wonder if it has to do with the brand of sensors i swapped them to, (i think they're bosch). Otherwise, the car seems to run OK. a little sluggish right now but i think that is expected with high temps and my new bumper lacking the intake duct.

I did get some logs and the AFRs are dipping into the 10s on partial throttle acceleration. On top of that, the car actually stalled on me after washing it lmao. I got it started again and drove it around and it acted like nothing happened. Sent the logs to Seb. I’m thinking getting my tune done in TX winter was a bad idea on my part lol

Okay, I have a plan of action, I think these PNP harnesses for the ID1050Xs are crap. I'm going to get those hard-wired into the factory harness for a more reliable connection

Swapped out my old PS4S with DWS06+
Got the free alignment check since I've never checked it in 6 years of ownership. A little extra negative camber but otherwise it's looking pretty good. |

Update on the car: We think changing out the battery for a fresh one, driving around in very hot weather, and going back to the OEM bumper (ductless) probably both contributed to a richer fuel mixture on the tune. Right now we're working on fixing that. I'm really considering finding a place to rent dyno time to get the car dialed in.
I still plan on getting my injectors manually wired in. I just need to find time to drop it by the shop. |
