Oil cooler definitely worth it. Especially if you’re tuned making additional power, and plan on driving the car hard. I have a 34 row and it’s fine for daily use as well.

FUCAs = front adjustable control arms. You’ll want adjustable front arms if you want to get the car back to factory spec. Everyone here says go for SPL. I’ve got Z1 FUCAs which are fine if you want to set the arm length once and be done, but they’re a pain to adjust since you have to remove them from the car to do so. Z1 is way cheaper than SPL, but you cant argue against SPLs quality and ease of adjustment.

I’ll let someone else chime in on if rear arms are needed. I don’t have them since I have more camber than factory spec in the rear.

100% will need adjustable rear camber arms with toe bolts if you are lowering. Just went thru this myself. I picked up SPC.

New AEM pump installed! The old pre-filter was completely caked. I'm glad I had the work done. Now to resume the logs and finish e-tuning!

Yeah you nailed it. Z1 arms are fine if you don't change the alignment often. If you plan to do track work and adjustments, go SPL. Thats the end of the story there.

to reply to the other comment, there are plenty of reasons to stay away from SPC due to overall quality. I would either go Z1 or SPL personally. I have SPL rear arms and no one has ever complained about working with them.

Oil change in the Z. First time with the CJM oil pan installed. Needed a 3/8 hex bit for the plug. Also took a little longer because I had to swap the jack stand to the passenger side since the drain is on the opposite side of the pan compared to the stock pan.

As far as oil cooler kit, I did notice that casual driving does get pretty toasty, after tune I figured it might run a little cooler? Guess I'm wrong on that one too lol.

FYI, depending on how you spec it, the Concept Z kit is around $100 cheaper and comes with the Setrab core as standard. I don’t see a reason to not go with at least the 25 row cooler. Better to have some kind of factor of safety and avoid having to go bigger down the road. Like I said I’ve got a 34 row that is totally fine for dailying. In the colder months (I’m in New England) I run a block off plate to let the car warm up faster.

Are you going to use divorced spring coilovers or true rear coilovers? That will determine which option you select for “toe adjustment”. If you’re using divorced spring rear coilovers (OEM-style) you’d want the SPC toe bolts for more adjustability. If you are using true-rear coilovers, then you’d get the toe arms and eccentric bolt elimination kit.

You obviously haven’t looked then. Any tuner that turns off knock sensors and does “complete” tunes in 20 minutes should be avoided like the plague

Also thank you for the suggestion on the oil cooler kit!! I'll get that ordered as well. Then I gotta find a pair of seats that better fit my 6'4 260# wide hips lmfao. Hopefully some good braums out there for comfy daily driving in the summer.....

Yup those are divorced rears. Spring is separate (…divorced) from the shock.

As a 5’8” dude I cannot provide any input on the seat situation lol

Default Unwound from Storage

Car has been in storage on Race Ramp tire flat-spot stopper. I also have my Z32 in storage, no flat stopper. This is the first time using the Race Ramp hardware - or any flat spot stopper. We have had pleasantly surprisingly nice mid-70s weather here in the Eastern Shore of MD, so I was curious if all that $$$$ on Race Ramps did anything for me. Yes it did, HUGE difference during first many miles (20 or so) miles of driving to de-stress the tires, when I took both cars out past weekend. Both cars have low profile summer Z rated tires with no less that 90% tread. While the Z32 was bopping and bouncing (hard to drive over 60 mph), the Z34 was smooth. I was really impressed and am ordering a set for the Z32.
