Well, took her in for an inspection just to see how the health of the motor was, leak down and compression test all good, although engine is getting a little tired as the techs at the dealership measured the compression at 180 across all cylinders. Also one of the idler pulleys decided it was its time and is now screeching at me to be changed.... all in all, not to bad for an engine with close to 200k on it

Spent most of the weekend crawling around under the car...I remember doing this 10 years ago like it was nothing, but now I need a chiro appointment

Stock clutch only had 40K miles on it, but the car picked up a weird, sometimes violet, vibration on decel. Turns out the dual mass flywheel almost became two actual pieces.

Everything’s smooth now, though

I’ll grab a few tomorrow, but it doesn’t look bad until you “play” with it. With just hand manipulation I could get it to move a LOT.

Like I said, it doesn’t really look all that bad, but I can spin it about 25-ish degrees by hand and get around 3/16” of deflection. I don’t know if that’s within factory limits, but I’ve been trying in earnest to replicate the vibration I felt before and everything’s smooth like butter.

As with all things, time always takes a toll, regardless good work on keeping the car healthy with that many miles on it. You are definitely doing something right. Mind sharing your maintenance habits such as Oil change intervals, trans fluid change intervals, diff fluid intervals, brake fluid intervals etc?

Also, on a separate note, insurance is on boys and girls! As of today! Weather is getting better in Toronto as well. Birthday is this Saturday, hoping for clear skies and open roads for the Z and I. I am taking donations for my birthday, I know you all have the power. Actually that's me asking too much, I'm sorry, if you can forgive me, please send some money to sorry dude.

Default Yaw Sensor Switch using a Halo Switch

Just regular maintenance, used to have the oil change intervals at about 5,000 miles but now that she has been showing her age and burning off a little oil here and there I've changed to 3,000 mile intervals and just make sure to check the oil every so often in between. As for transmission, that gets changed every 30,000 unless I've been to a track day at which point i usually do my best to try and change it out directly afterwards, same with differential. Brake fluid i usually do on an annual basis so once a year unless it's a busy track season in which case it gets changed out a few times a year. Other than that, just keep an eye on things and when parts wear out i usually try to get them replaced as soon as possible, she has been good to me otherwise and still gets up and goes

Thanks for taking the time to get back to me, it's much appreciated. Good to see that you care for your car and keep a eye on things in order to execute proper preventative maintenance. Also, glad to hear you track your car, something I want to get into for next year or so.

the Z is actually a very reliable car, ok, besides all those talk about Steering lock and CSC (if you have a MT).

Mine's getting close to 200km on the odometer, besides the problem I've got from the convertible top...

Otherwise everything is running well.

Just saw this, here's how to wire it

Plug wires:

Black- Ground (there is a black ground wire going to the sensor, but could just be attached to chassis ground)
Green wire- 12 volt side of green sensor wire.
Red/Blue- Twist together but don't attach to anything.
Yellow- Other side of green sensor wire (sensor itself).

Right on. It's what I figured after digging through the forum a few more hours. The 2012 manual doesn't give the wire color code of the Yaw Sensor
