That's... not what the exhaust note should sound like. Methinks you still have some maple syrup-stained $100s in your cans.

ART pipe install complete. Pretty funny how tame the sound is while cruising under 3.5k rpm. Once the accelerator is mashed this bitch gets loud. I can dig it.

Even better? The main squeeze approves of the sound. In her words “I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s louder, but it sounds different. It seems more smooth.”

Great job to Motordyne for putting together a banger of an exhaust system!

Did you remember to cut off the floor pan bolt on the drivers side?

I watched so many damn installs and not until now did I catch an ART youtube video that only mentioned trimming the stud. I picked the TPs up used and didn’t have any official instructions.

Do you know if there is room to get to it with the dremel while the pipes are installed?

I seriously don’t remember reading this step on the O.G. ART pipe thread....

There's a bolt on the drivers side floor pan that sticks down about an inch. The Art pipe almost rests right up against it and it will hit it and make a bad rattling sound. Motordyne addresses it in their instructions. It just needs to be cut flush with the floor pan. Only takes a couple of minutes.

Off Motordyne's website:
On the driver side floor panel heat shield there is a M6 stud that protrudes down about 1”. This stud will create an interference fit. Trim the stud flush down to the panel to allow for ART pipe clearance. Install all the bolts for the ART pipes only finger tight, then adjust rotation/alignments as needed, then tighten all the bolts working from front to back starting at the inlet to the brace to the outlet

Welp! That’s on me for not going to the main source for the facts. Glad that the fix is simple enough.

Thanks for the heads up!

Got everything buttoned back up yesterday, loving the Coolerworx shifter a lot so far. Getting used to the flywheel chatter, it can get pretty loud lol. Also put on some SS braided brake lines.
Now just breaking in the new clutch!
