Started oil change, forgot I was out of oil filters, will finish tomorrow. Also installed Z1 undershroud and a silicone license plate frame/pad. Bummer that the magnetic oil plug I bought off Amazon warehouse a while ago is wrong size. Oh well, I’ll be using Blackstone oil analysis for the last 3300 miles I put on this oil.

Ethanol content is slowly creeping down, so I'm now using the Z as my primary vehicle when possible. I also ordered a stack of miscellaneous parts to fix some broken or missing items (exhaust hangers, cat brace, battery cover, etc.)
I installed the Zspec strut bar titanium hardware (black). It looks really nice. I also installed the Lasfit LED retrofit for the headlights. combined with the STi lenses I have in the housings already, it's a huge difference in low beam performance. I'm glad I went with that considering I'm not a huge fan of the Morimoto design. Next on the list is a carbon engine cover and cooling plate, as well as a new Sparco 383 and works bell quick release (the latter two items are ordered) Last edited by abm89; 12-13-2021 at 04:56 PM. |

Went offroading in the Z. Another trip to the body shop
Sudden maneuver, cold tires, bad input. Driver that caused it drove off so I don't really have any recourse except insurance.

I did receive my NISMO radiator cap today from Japan. Probably the easiest install compared to what I've done lately. |

I've been driving the Z around, still getting rid of any ethanol left in the tank. If it doesn't go down after that, I might have a bad flex fuel sensor that needs swapping. Damn saddle tank.
Tomorrow I'll install the $300 worth of miscellaneous parts to get rid of rattles and replace broken or missing trim pieces. I needed a break as Monday and Tuesday were spent giving my WRX a massive suspension upgrade. |
