Hey all! Cobb is going great. Really loving my time there. With Cobb money I'm looking to add a few things to the Z this summer. My summer wishlist:

- FI Resonated HFC (to pair with my FI CBE)
- UpRev tune once I get the F1 Resonated HFC
- SPL Bushings; any comments on what to get "first" on a DD with stock bushings all around?
- ADD W1 Oil Catch Cans (a bit iffier on these, but wouldn't mind the engine dress-up and anything that contributes to preventative maintenance while I continue to upgrade the 370Z as it is daily driven; 89kmi). Does anyone have any suggestions for another manufacturer for oil catch cans?
- Heat barrier wrapping my Gen3s; suffered a puncture last summer and don't want to go through that again. May be looking to replace the filters while I have them off @ ~30kmi (mostly highway), I feel like it's about time. Or do I "clean them" instead?
- 25mm wheel spacers all around on stock suspension with 19" Sport Rays
- Possibly a rear diffuser to complete the rear end look. Not too keen on cosmetic mods right now. Preventative maintenance and humble power gains!

I am not pursuing any suspension upgrades past my current front sway bar. Waco is an unforgiving mess.

Any suggestions as to what else I should be looking at for my 89kmi DD? All I have done to it besides a few cosmetics are in my signature. Cheers!

SPL Front Lower Control Arm Bushing Kit. This would be a good "first" kit to get. I have most of the SPL catalog; improvements to front-end of the car provide the best 'bang for buck', in terms of car control, steering response and cornering confidence.

- ADD W1 Oil Catch Cans

"For a NA 370Z engine, a catch can is not really needed." Reference: Engine oil catch cans??

- Possibly a rear diffuser to complete the rear end look. Not too keen on cosmetic mods right now. Preventative maintenance and humble power gains!

This Australian made diffuser is more than just cosmetic: https://jdmaccessories.com.au/product/21403/

Quaife or Wavetrac ATB LSD. I have Quaife (it was cheaper here in Australia), but Wavetrac is very popular (especially in the US). An ATB LSD significantly improves the power delivery and handling characteristics of the 370Z. Highly recommended.
I appreciate the insight my man! I actually ended up pulling the trigger on the catch cans, even after reading that same thread several times over and over in the last couple of weeks. I understand it may not be "really needed" but seeing as it is my daily driver, any kind of preventative maintenance modifications or things that may slightly increase my power gains by accumulating less build-up over time is fine by me. Also had a great tax return, LOL.

I'll look into everything else! Thank you for pointing me in the right direction for SPL, it means a lot for you to take a moment to respond. Have a good one

Ecutek > Uprev (the only benefit to Uprev is if you want to tune your car yourself)
I would say don't bother with any SPL bushings at this point. Especially with the Waco roads unless you already have some failing. You can do the diff bushing if you want. Or FUCAs for ease of alignment.
Catch cans are not a bad idea. Probably unnecessary though.
Heat wrap is not a bad idea. Good if your IATs are excessive.
Don't replace the filters unless they are in really bad shape. You should be able to clean them one way or another. Either with a recharge kit (in the case of K&N filters) or compressed air (for dry filters). If the dry filter is really dirty you can soak it in a solution of water and Simple Green (or similar) - make sure it dries completely before reinstalling.
25 mm might give a little poke in the rear so make sure you're good with that. I commonly see 15-20 mm used with the stock sport wheels.

I dusted and vacuumed the inside of my Z today. Tomorrow I'm installing my HKS hi power exhaust. I bought it brand new and its got the two piece h-pipe. I'm going to be doing the job on jack stands with a friend. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Just got done installing my HKS hi power exhaust and it fits damn near perfect! Having my friend with me helped big time since we did it while the car was on jack stands. I think the pipe that goes from the rear muffler to under the bumper cut out on the passenger side got bent just a tad too much during the build process. We just had to adjust the tip and muffler section to where no one would be able to tell. Only I know it's not 100 percent since I'm a HUGE anal head. Other than that the welds and hardware are top notch.

As far as the two piece H-pipe section it's a breeze to bolt that together. I used an open end wrench on the nut side and a ratcheting wrench from a company called Mountain on the bolt side. It's about half as tall as a shallow 3/8's drive socket on a 3/8's drive hand ratchet. Granted I'm a professional Technician and have many tools, that is the set up you need for that part.

I feel like I'm driving a new car again. I love the throaty exhaust note the exhaust makes. Next for my car is the OEM black housing headlamps. Then a slight drop and then to top it off with some TE-37'S and paint.

If anybody could post a picture of the wrenches from Mountain that I mentioned that would be great.

Installed a drain line and valve on my SOHO combo catch can. It was set up to recirculate the oil through the dipstick tube back into the oil pan. I wasn't too keen on recirculating contaminated oil back into the engine.

That's badass, how often you think you'll have to drain it?

Not sure since it recirculated before so I had no way of knowing. I'll find out in September when my turbos come in.

I replaced the broken B-pillar finisher this weekend! I have to make sure I'm always paying attention, otherwise, it'll get expensive at $150 a pop...lol!

It won't be too bad at all. It will need to be drained frequently in the winter months due to you running E85. The drivers side always vents more moisture for some reason also. Since you are have an all in one, you won't be able to tell that.

I'm going to have Specialty Z drill about a 2" hole in the Z1 undershroud so I can pop the drain hose out of the hole to make draining easier

I'm waiting on my friend to print the test bracket I sent him for my Haltech dash. Other than that, just driving around and contemplating going down to 285s in the rear.
