That's what I've been doing, for fuel starve and also to keep fuel pump cooler, but I had a brain fart earlier.

I also learned this the hard way. Riding with a friend to meet some girls at a a bar I swing a hard right on to the intersate and lay on the throttle to show my buddy his 4 banger evo has nothing on my mighty z. Then the car begins to sputter. I hadn’t had the car long at this point so I had no idea that this mistake would leave us stranded on the side of the road. After realizing the car had shut itself off I manurverd it over to the side of the road. Tried my best to get it started but it would turn and turn but not kick over. As our Uber driver drove us to the bar leaving my car on the side of the highway I jumped on the trusty internet to see what forum existed for the z and what they said had just happened to my car. This was the first I had come across this forum and it was a done deal after that. Constantly searching the forum for the best upgrades and what exhaust sounds the best or if an intake is worth $500?! Or if some k&n filters offer me some improved performance. Anyways enough drunken ramble for this guy. Y’all rock! Keep it up!

Now he has stories for his Evo friends. Based on my experience, I would do exhaust, suspension, cooling, intake, & tune.

Get to motor the car already has shy of 500km. Trying to shift at 4 but sometimes get to 5 and then 6000rpm a few.
Trying to wait but man it revs so freely. Nismo final drive def shorter. Can tell vs the non nismo. Its peppy |

I ran every gear to at least 5K RPMs during break-in.

The full oh sh!t ABS test
I got into work very early today, so I switched back to the house for the afternoon (two meetings, 3 and 4pm to do).
On the way I stop at the Costco @285 and 75 to tank up. From there I had just passed the Windy Hill exit, heading up to the Delk exit and I'm the right hand lane and passing a big rig on my left (it's an uphill there). Compact car swerves over right in front of me, must have cut over two lanes, most likely seeking to cut across the gore to make the Windy Hill exit. Brake pretty much pegged to the floor. I'm on the Michelin A/S 3+ all season tire, not a performance tire and frankly I expected to squeal, slide and have to back off/pump brakes. No squeal, no slide, everything in the car shifts forward (some stuff into the passenger footwell). I think I got within 8 inches of their bumper. One weird thing I noticed was that the VDC disable had switched back to on. I'm not sure if the computer did that when the ABS had to kick in or maybe the button just pushed itself with inertia. I don't recommend the experience (checks shorts) but the ABS certainly paid for itself today. |

Cant say i had in 5 or 6 (not enough space) but def hit 5 many times in 1 2 and 3. Few times on hwy in 4th. Just avoiding over 3k before coolant guage moves. Typical even on my old car. Once coolant warm ill open up and rev to 5.
I think once i pass 500 ill give her a nice wot to redline. Still trying to be easy ish on launches while clutch breaks in. Quote:
