Not being a novice driver still leaves room for error. 4k miles on the tires cold temps outside "LEAVE the VDC button ON" otherwise this can happen. Really wasn't pushing the car that hard but this occurred post apex on the exit accelerating out. No one was hurt air bags worked great.

:ohsnap1: Sorry to see this! Glad you're ok. Are those the skid marks in the background on the pavement? Judging by the skid on the grass as well I would say this was the cars final resting place after it happened?

You're right... I have less than 7k miles with my tires. They're good tires compared to the RE040 with the 350Z, but it definitely hates cold weather. It is definitely easy to spin the tires with VDC going crazy.

Yes that the skids and the final resting place I think the tree that I clipped is just out of frame. It was a sweeping left turn and when I accelerated out it broke loose and I ran out of talent.

I'm not sure this one is totaled yet so I may be stuck with it. If it is totaled I may go with Platinum this time.

Sad, dude. Thank God you're O.K. BTW, I always leave my VDC on, even on dry pavement, even in our scorching summers down here. Safety is número uno, and that's a fact. Greetings.

You really have to be careful on public roads especially in the cold and wet, there are a lot of obstacles out there. We've seen a few Z's seriously damaged now from people turning VDC off when they perhaps should have left it on. I frequently turn mine off but if the conditions aren't suitable it stays on. Also recommend some auto-cross driving so you learn how to properly deal with breakaway in a short wheelbase car.

wow, thats why I leave my VDC on. I have turned it off on occasion and scared myself so I turned it back on, hehe.

I need to go autocrossing before I have that kind of confidence. Sorry to hear about your car, but glad to hear your ok!

but if you're not a novice driver you'd probably know summer tires dont grip well under 40F...

Woof. Sorry dude. I'm at 8k miles and have noticed a big difference in traction from when I first got her.

So many accidents with these cars. Why? I'm sorry about what happened. Here's to watching my insurance rates go up, and up, and up.
