Thanks for that video!! Snap choke cores huh. Ok, well at least I know there is a possible fix for this annoying thing. I'm going to wait and see if any others start experiencing this, if it is widespread, maybe Nissan will issue a fix and I won't have to deal with pulling out the speakers myself. Braden |

Okay two more observations on the car:
When I drove home from work last night I noticed that when I have my brights on the little blue indicator in the dash is very bright. So bright I moved my arm on the steering wheel to block it. And when you dim the dash lights down it does not change in intensity. I use a radar detector (of course) and the power point location is in a very odd location. Down low near the passenger's feet. In fact when I first started looking for it I could not find it and I was freaking out a bit. And the lack of heated mirrors was a problem again last night. Huge blindspot+useless side mirrors equals danger IMO. |

It's odd that it doesn't have heated mirrors. My 06 z has heated mirrors. The power outlet has always been near the passenger area but there is another one under the center armrest. I don't think i've ever used my highbeams around the seattle area.

heated mirrors is an easy fix. just run an electric current through the mirror.
how much you wanna bet this is the 3lbs of "audio system" weight that was shaved haha. blind spots sound really annoying to me. look into a set of multivex mirrors. Last edited by Supergoji; 01-10-2009 at 04:17 PM. |

They should start putting split mirrors on US spec cars. I know they use them in Europe and they really help with blind spots. My friend had them on his 3 series and you can see the back of your car and your blind spot without leaning forward or turning your head.

Your ride looks awesome! Regarding those blind spots -- yeah they're pretty bad. Those little portals are completely useless. Although, for some reason I find it easier to check the blind spot on the right side easier than in the 350. But on the left side, it's awful. I stuck a little convex mirror on my left mirror. I did that when I had an S2000 as well (car prior to the 350), because in the S2, you turn your head to check the blind spot and all you see is black canopy (unless the top is down, of course).

It is hard to keep clean, especially this time of year, and it's even harder because I live in the country down a 1/4 mile gravel driveway! But when it's clean you just can't beat it. I don't care about dirt and mud, it's the rock chips I worry about. I'm getting a clear bra and tint done next week so hopefully that will prevent a lot of chips.
