Many devices out there that will check engine lights, I got this one from amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007LEG2K it was $20 for a while so I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives out there, it has scanned 8+ vehicles now no problems ranging from 98-2015 as far as reminders the CarFax app has built in reminders dates for car models and whatever is advised to be changed or checked at a specific milage, nice way to keep track of things
