Can I tell you how many times I have heard that from Mercedes-Benz, Lexus and Cadillac service managers?

No car is perfect or immune from quality, build, mechanical or electrical issues including much higher priced exotics. Overall, the Z is a very good platform. It has proven itself overtime and will continue to put smiles on peoples faces for many years. BTW, where did you come up with the $60k figure for a Z? Did it have a Rolex in the glove compartment? :excited:

dealers here sell them for 50k after fees and taxes yes they get upwards of 60k
That's for a 2017 nismo
I believe base with no add ons start around 30k

But yeah I'm considering 60k for different car choices lolol
Honestly wanted to look into the Q series from Infiniti, need more room again.

Here is the thing...I have owned a ton of performance cars. Allot of them had problems or potential problems that I experienced or did not hang around to experience... When I sold my last car I researched all the performance cars out there and there were only a handful of really highly reliable ones available. After doing a ton of research I purchased a Z...It is without a doubt one of the most reliable sports cars available. The other reliable options were underpowered, overpriced (for what you get), or plain out boring looking etc.

..OP you got a lemon, you can buy any car and experience this....buy another Z and the probability is that you will never experience any issues.

Infiniti was one of the ones I researched and owned a G37...highly reliable and great if you buy used. New? your values will be cut in half in a couple of years. Plus they are a bit on the boring side in the looks department..

If you think that the Nismo is better than a Camaro in anything but looks, then you're only fooling yourself. The Z is only a good deal when bought used

Based on what exactly husam? I believe that the Z Sport/Tour. is nicer looking than the Nismo. And both Z's are nicer looking and better driving vehicles than the Camaro. But that is my opinion. And which Camaro are you talking about, the SS or ZL1 or a base model? Not comparable to a Z. I personally would not pay $15k for a new Camaro, let alone a used one.

If you're comparing a Camaro to a Nismo Z, you're missing the point! Sure they both go fast but they are completely different animals. One's a true sports car while the other is a "sporty" coupe. Speed isn't everything. It's the whole package that makes the car.

The answer is always Miata my friend. Lol

But honestly I would just trade it with another Z

Z370Z011 05-06-2017 01:20 PM

You guys might lynch me but I'll probably just sell the Z and get the civic hatchback (on the uglier side of things but I like hatches) lol.

Now Hold on hold on.. lol
The Z is my primary car and it's difficult to transport my 70lb dog. 2 seaters are a bit of a pain to daily (at least for me). I don't think I'd sell the Z for another Z unless it was the next gen (if it ever comes out). I think I'd like a comfortable daily and get a project car to just use as a dedicated track car.

Nothing wrong with that.. sounds like the Z doesn't fit your life as well as some other rides would. Good luck!

LOL, no one is going to lynch you. I hope that you find a vehicle that will work out better for you and your lifestyle. Squeezing the big pooch into a lil Z is quite a challenge.

Lol! I actually almost got into a car accident. She saw a dog and jumped into the drivers side to bark at the dog which made for some interesting maneuvering. Thankfully there weren't too many cars out.

Purchased an 09 used at 48k. Carfax and past 2 prev owners maintaince records showed nothing out of the ordinary unless theyve hidden it .
Currently almost at 65k of DD racecar of some good beating. Only had to replace tires pads and some oil changes.
Back on topic, OP, imo, I would have tried to get another Z, like someone said, sounds like youve gotten the bad bunch. Did you find any plastic disposable sake shot cups in your Z?
