I don't think age has much to do with it. Forty years ago, we would jack up the back of a pony car for that quarter-miler look. It degraded handling, but most Mustangs/Camaros/Chargers/etc didn't handle worth a damn to start with. The 370Z is one of the better (if not the best) handling cars I've driven. Just seems a shame to ruin that.

And it goes beyond just good handling - it's unsafe. I'm surprised that one can legally run a setup like that on the street. Or is that meant to be a show car?

The older I get, the more function-over-form I become. Ie, carbon-fiber components are good; carbon-fiber overlays, not so much.
