2010-2014 front nismo bumper

How hard can it be to find a factory bumper for my 2010 nismo?!
I put the car in the body shop on the 6th of March, and as far as they are telling me they dont have the part yet.
That being said is it that scarce that they are unable to get one yet?
Can anyone suggest an after market that would match the rest of my car because at this point I want the vehicle back already.

Unable to get one? Sounds like they are trying to find a wreck yard or used part for cheap.... It's an OEM part...should be able to get one in a matter of days.

Sounds like you need to jack up your adjustor AND talk to his supervisor. The insurance company is trying to cheap out and not spring for a new one. Tell them you want a NEW one, not some refurbished POS. Elevate the problem until someone says 'okay'. :shakes head:

It is a piece of cake to get one. They are jacking you a round my friend. Call Juan at Nissan Race Shop and he will get you one in the mail within two day. I bought my last one from him. Great service!

I talked with the body shop and the owner told me that the Nissan dealership keeps sending the wrong part, He wants the car out of the shop as much as I want it back. The parts will be there tomorrow, the bumper and the ground effects for the left side. So I can expect it back in my arms by next Tuesday. :)

While they may be trying to cheap out, the rental car I have is costing them a fortune, so far $1100.so I really dont suspect that is the issue.

Its easy as hell to take off and put on yourself. I changed out my headlights from 2013 to the 2015's and it was way easier than I thought. I hate people working on or touching my car...they always ruin something...don't be surprised if they break a clip or dont put one of the bolts in the front wheel well back in....

Louie, even though this may be true, don't trust the Insurance co. Like others have said, "it shouldn't have taken this long to get these OEM Parts". I would have the body shop call you once they get the parts, so you could see if they are new or not!! :twocents:

I call now every 3 days, each time they tell me no parts yet. Now the 45 day limit is closing in on the rental ,and they tell me Nissan will have to pay because it is their fault. I thought I would get a call today ,but nothing yet.

Louie, it's time to call your insurance company and blast 'em. Escalate the call to someone of authority. This is totally unacceptable and very poor business practice on their part. Hang in a bit longer bro. Good luck.

Call the insurance adjustor, tell him you want to speak with his supervisor NOW. When the supervisor gets on the phone, inform him that you will be filing a complaint with the insurance commissioner about the resolution of this claim. This is a factory part, that should have arrived at the shop a week to 10 days after the car was accepted for repair. Give them 48 hours, then call and talk to the supervisor's supervisor. Keep kicking it up the chain until someone lights a fire under the adjustor. If it is a national company like Progressive, Nationwide, Allstate, etc; hit their Facebook page and blast them there for jerking you around on the claim. Tell everybody who will listen that they are a crap company and jerk people around on claims. It's past time for being nice, it isn't the body shop's problem, it's the insurance company that won't pay for the part. :shakes head::shakes head::shakes head:

Time to light some fires......
