I know there are 370 owners out there, the cars just suddenly didn't vaporize.

facebook 370z group is a joke, nothing but a bunch of teenagers posting how they bought a rear hatch louver to restrict an already limited view, or worse someone adding 22" rims on the car and asking whats the best next mod to gain some power.
I stay away from those pools.

Agreed. That's why I'm trying to sell my 370 there for an absurd amount of money.

I don't post as much as I used to since Apple did away with RSS feeds in Safari and Mail.
It was a whole lot easier to see new threads and/or posts with that method.

the issue with FB group is that you can't chose what to view, you have to view the 10 trash/senseless post to see that 1 more or less relevant one.

which is good for mark zuckerberg since you end up spending more time on there, but bad for everyone else.

Sorry, but I don't agree with the premise in the thread title. In fact, I still find it hard to keep up with the pace of this place.

As a 370z forum, I reckon it's alive and kicking.

I do feel like it has slowed down quite a bit in the last year or so....

for example, in the exterior/interior subforum there are only three active threads today... aside from those three, the last post was 2 days ago. 3 years ago I would have been very surprised to see only 3 threads in that subforum to be active in a 24 hour period.

1. Nissan ain't done shyt new to talk about.

2. As grumpy old guy stated. Questions have been answered.

3. This has become more of a social site so people pop in and out and comment, more than actually participate.

4. Most of the hardcore enthusiasts bought other cars.

5. All the posers bought mustangs and BMW's.

6. There are a lot of used car rear window Louvre people posting threads here now and none of the OG's are not wanting to read it.

7. Lastly, the only news moving people is Z35 news.

now its too late to sell a 370 at a decent price.

But with all honesty my Z still never stop to amuse other people and I still find it as one of the most beautiful sports cars ever designed. I'll probably keep mine and my son will inherit it.

I think this forum has become as much as an archive as it is a forum. there is so much information on this site, as others have said, im still catching up on 3-5 years worth of info just browsing through all the topics and posts. I may not post much but i would like to think im active on the forum. if a topic comes up im knowledgeable about ill share what i know but most likely the topic has already been covered and they just need to be redirected to the information.

Another thing is that i bet in another 3 to 4 years or when, and if, the Z35 comes out the depreciation in value of the Z34 will bring tons of new people to the forum since our cars will be super affordable at that point and new owners will have tons of questions just like we all did. it will be similar to whats happening to the Z33 right now. it may not be the crowd everyone is looking for but it will certainly bring activity to the forum either way.

edit:

As far as Facebook groups are concerned i would have to agree, they all kind of suck. the only reasonable group iv found is NorthEastVQ. they ask a lot of technical questions and reminds me a lot of the group from this forum.
