D.I.Y. 'Nuff said! BTW, the Pureone/Purolator advice is right on the nose. It's THE best oil filter out there! And it costs less than the
crappy OEM one. Last edited by j.arnaldo; 12-08-2009 at 01:31 PM. |

My dealer offers free tires for life as long as all my maintenance work is done there.
I still haven't gotten the first change yet but I'm wondering if it would just be cheaper to do it myself and buy the tires when I'll need them. Any ideas? |

a set of tires costs a small fortune. do the math, check Tire Rack online, then compare that to the cost of how many oil changes you plan on over 12k-15k miles

Brother in law has 37k (two weeks ago) and running on the same set of tires and no.... they aren't showing retread. Not too mention my Mustang has a set of stickys that are sitting at 27k and looking more than fine. Did you experience this mileage first hand with your tires? |
