Very interesting. Doesn't seem to hold up for very long so probably not an good option for a DD (especially a modern car that keeps the ECM powered up). Might be a great solution for a track car.

(Except the price, right?)

I run a yellow top Optima in my 240Z. It is bulletproof.

All interesting comments about the battery on this thread, since mine is now at advance auto to get re-charged, any one using an auto-tender?

My Z is my DD, so the alternator gets the honors.

I use a Battery Tender for winter storage and a few times in the summer.

Battery tender for years on motorcycle, and on cars as needed. Only when we get real snow do the cars sit for > 2 weeks without being driven and I toss them on the tender.

This winter the 2010 OEM battery was starting to show its age after a few days of sitting not turning the car over quite as well, so I replaced with an Interstate, which was not that hard to get just an order from local Midas and it was here a few days later. Sure not walmart but IMHO a better battery.

Default Yellow top over Redtop?

Why? Optimum shows the Redtop as the 1st choice for today's automobiles. Yellow top for cars with heavy electrical loads. Although, there is only a minor price difference.
