I was about to ask if the phone now gets in the way of shifting but I see you're running the same knob as me.

Great idea and execution, and it really should've come like this for non-touring models.

My arm brushes it a little bit in 5th and 6th but not enough to affect shifting. I think it got in the way more sitting in the cup holder.

The picture makes the scratch look way worse than it is. i'll probably take it off again to tweak the design, right now the cupholder piece is just shy of sitting flush, and when I do that I'll fix it.

Nice idea. I mount my phone up on the vent by the headunit but a little storage space there could be useful for sure.

That looks great! May I add to it? Can one of you add 3 USB ports? We can attached USB hub inside and use it to charge the phone and connect it to a head unit if you have one that supports it.

I was thinking of a Hardwired Docking station! Just drop-in phone to charge and play, cordless.

This would be awesome... I wonder if my iPhone 7 plus would fit... It seems that the regular iPhone is tight the way it is.

Dang... I just looked it up, 77.9 to be exact. 4mm is a lot.... maybe it wouldn't look too bad diagonally in the opening???

It would probably face you (driver) better at an angle.
