2018: Backup cameras are required. What does this mean for non-tech Z's?
In case you haven't heard, all new cars will require a backup camera by May 2018.
New Backup Camera Rule: Cameras Will Be Mandatory by 2018 - Autotrader Assuming that Nissan will continue to manufacture the 370z for the 2018 model year, what do you think this will mean for trims that do not have the tech package? Do you think the navigation screens will now be standard (RIP cubby), or will Nissan go the cheaper route and just install rearview cameras with a small screen? Or do you think 2017 will be the end of the 370z line? (After all, requiring backup cameras will increase the price of the vehicle, which won't exactly drive already declining sales...) Share your thoughts! |
