Did your shop run new speaker wires for the door speakers? Common practice is to bore a hole through the door wiring harness connector to slide speaker wire through. They may have damaged the wiring related to the airbag sensor.

Yep new speaker wires were installed. This was my initial thought -They damaged a wire that connects the sensors.
