Cortana in a Nissan
Nissan is moving towards the future by integrating Cortana in some models
http://www.theverge.com/ces/2017/1/5...ar-integration So far our Z cars are the last to get new tech but why not? They look like the future even with a relatively long run. |
Yay! Maybe a few more electronic gimmicks can save a platform that's almost a decade old!:ugh2:
Or not. |
I'm thinking towards the next platform. But this is the way of the future. Siri just does not work for me. Google and Cortana much better.

IoT in the car, no thanks! I don't want a connected car unless the connection can easily be severed.
|
I think is something like Mazda's G-Vectoring System.

Very different sort of cars. Our Evora S is most similar to a 370Z, about the same hp a little lighter. The Nismo has surprised me with its capabilities though, especially for the price. I need to get it on a skidpad and explore its limits. We have a race prepped Elise, extremely different from most any street car, so raw. So real. So brave. |
Microsoft can go fak demselves :gtfo2: I faking hate windows.

I'm more concern about accuracy. Our current map is super horrible and can't get you through the best routes. She also is horrible at telling you taking exits. "keep right" is not an exit. She often doesn't mention street names either. I just keep finding myself to use my phone for Google way too much. So if Cortana is better i'll be happy however I don't like how she keeps bothering with suggestions :icon17:

The nav that any auto manufacturer provides are all third rate dinosurs. A total waste of their resources to even make. And then they want to charge a thousand or more dollars for it!
Just get WAZE for free and a $20 mount to put your phone where you can see it. The point of this thread is that Nissan does seem to be taking some leadership in the industry integrating advanced AI to our cars. Not just the rinky-dink nav systems but actual useful voice interactive systems that safely make our lives better. And having such would not embarrass a performance oriented car. They are even putting a cup holder in the new Lotus Evora. Luxury and performance. Well, a very light cupholder. |
