And is there a cheaper alternative to forced induction on a 7at? I haven't heard any good things about stillen supercharger kit. Appreciate some help. |

If you're wanting CARB you may want to wait and see what RJM is coming up with. Only CARB option is Stillen. The frozen boost upgrade should make it safer and keep it CARB. Otherwise, have FI's kit installed out of state.

I'm fairly certain that the GReddy kit is CARB legal but I could be wrong.

Well I really don't wanna spent that lol. I had 9k sitting and I wanted to see what I could work with ahah . I know it's barely touching the forced induction costs, especially with a 7at... but at the moment the cars going through a full make over...but wanted to get a forums opinions on what would be a good option and good cost.
Heard about s and r, but it's in floridia... stillens another option but is it really even that worth it for the gains it shows? And twin t is a lot more expensive and I don't know if I'm ready to do that just yet... Any one care to chime in? |

our whipple supercharger kit may do the trick but it wont be public until mid next year. once we have finished the testing and design we may open up for preorders. also we will be looking into carb approval for the base kit.

Did they release their new kit? The old one was discontinued.

Single turbos are not really recommended for our cars due to kits available, engine bay space etc. Custom kits are wayyy to expensive. be better to go TT if you go FI Supercharger kits have lots of issues too but hopefully RJM can fix that with their new kits. Be better to go TT if you go FI until RJM has something available. If you do want to go TT and have the big boy kit it will cost you close to $30k fairly quickly. If you wanted to do a Stage 1 or Stage 2 I'm sure you could get away between $20-$25k on parts and labor etc.

30k seems high, I have been told closer to 20k. I am sure FI and Seb could work something out for you. I have never had them tell me they couldn't do it because we're in California.

Well this is interesting. With the GTM mess and the Stillen kit being kind of lame, there hasn't been a good SC option in a long time. Hopefully, this kit will be top quality like the FI tt kit. I have heard the GTM one had some issues and Stillen's kit issues are well documented.

The CARB process form what I've seen from pasts vendors exploring this is cert is thats a real pia lengthy expensive process
to the point vendors simply give up since the cost is only for Cali so it doesn't make financial sense to see it thru. So for the most part all Cali FI owners with the exception of Stillen have to install and run it at your own risk of not getting caught by LEO But again that goes for anything approved as off road use only. |

So what would u guys do, I got 9500 to either redo and finish the bolt ons and tune, or I can go full amuse with the oil cooler +tune bolt on/ or third.
Fix my cracked headlights, repair stock damage (ran over cones on freeway ) and supercharge or save for a less expensive alternative to turbos What would u guys do ahah |
