Limited mods/ high prices

Almost a year down the road, does anyone feel optimistic about the flood gates opening for parts/accessories/mods/etc. I go the TheZStore.com and there are things..but no a lot. All of the performance mods are super expensive, and the top ones are really the only ones worth the effort. I cant remember a car where new things and ideas are still being developed and introduced at such a high rate a year into the life of the car. Is the economy driving production and investment down, is it because maybe the car is still so new, is the computer way to difficult to work with for people to develop products, etc.

Seems like everything decent is a do-it-yourself that all the wonderful people on here have developed.
