Even the vette plant is in canada. I saw a documentary on corvettes in the speed channel. More american cars are built in canada, mexico germany and australia. Its so stupid. People don't realize that the auto industry is a world market now. So there's no longer any patriotism in making cars anymore. The only thing we can thank america for is taking an original opel car and cheapening the interior, rims and treatments to the point of disgust.
By the way. Nissan has a huge plant in alabama n the produce quite a few models there. I believe most infiniti's are built here as well. Between nissan honda and toyota they have more plants here than GM does. Pathetic |

Regardless of your finacial well being, race, colour or creed all Canadian's are entitled to equal care. That means the single mom with three kids can still get the medical care she requires. That's while paying roughly the same income taxes as her equivalent in the USA. So in fact in the USA YOU are paying out of pocket. Granted the wealthy can get quicker medical care in the USA than your average Canadian who may be required to wait for non-emergency care. |

Also Canada is the States closest ally right now. We need Canada just as much as Canada needs us. It's not a safe/secure world out there. If we band together with Canada we will be a whole lot stronger and unconquerable then if we were both to have just kept to ourselves as isolationists. Lastly for those who don't like Canada. My suggestion to them is to at least visit and experience the place first if you haven't yet. You would be very impressed when you see Banff, Vancouver, Toronto, the W.Edmonton Mall, and places like Quebec and Nova Scotia. It's actually quite friendly, warm and inviting. |

Yet, not everybody follows my example. The other year the best selling car in Canada was a Mazda 3 which is made in Mexico. It's a popular car in Canada because of the cheap starting price. Making it more competitive with other cars. |

The woes of the US manufacturing base are not confined to the auto industry, it is a problem many decades old. Absurd union contracts as well as management failure have pretty much ruined our economy. There can be no sound economy without a manufacturing base. We can't survive on the service sector alone. We cannot survive if everyone is working at Wal Mart. Our politicians are inept and do not ave the skills, the balls or the intelligence to fix the problem. :shakes head: |

Yes sir... my bad. I checked and it is built un KY. The show I saw did roll one out from a canadian plant though. But maybe it was rolled out as a GM pride thing. Either way I found an interesting article on the global car market.
