I took my wife's Mazda 6 to dealer for an oil change and while there, saw several 2016 Mazda Miata MX5's.

I have a 2014 370z sports package AT. Love the car, power etc.

I wonder if anyone traded a 370z for a Miata (2016) or have any comments.

Now, I don't track, just use it as DD in the Nashville area. I do take long trips, drive fast (sometimes too fast on highways). I would say 80% on highways. They say that the Miata handles well and the new one with its light weight is reasonably quick.

Don't get the 2016, get the 2017 hardtop convertible if you get anything at all.

It's $32k plus. The Z Club model soft top is about $24k.

I have a problem while driving the Z. I just can't stand the idea of anyone in any car going faster and start racing on the highway the minute someone goes past me. Very soon, I am zipping in and out of traffic and after I get home, I am cursing myself for driving recklessly. I fear that one of these days I will get into an accident.

When I had the 2010 Miata or even when driving most other cars, I dont get into it with other cars. Maybe that is a good reason to trade.

There is always gonna be someone with a faster car, that's just the way it is. Enjoy your car and if you want to drive fast, do a SOLO II event or something like that. I'm not sure where in Missouri you live, but if you are near KC, I don't want to be caught up in your accident because you insist on 'measuring it' on the highway.... :shakes head:

Solution: Stop being a dumb azz and smarten up. It's you car and your ride. If you know that is your problem then maybe you should stop driving fast cars. Reckless driving = stupid and dangerous to others. When reckless drivers crash, I can give a dam about the dumb driver. I do however care about the innocent people that got ran off the road or side swiped/ crashed, pushed into rails, flipped or whatever else. No self control and disregard for other.

That is not tempting. What is tempting is an open emergency lane whilst two 18 wheelers insist on doing the 62/63mph drag race on the interstate for 10 miles. They should start writing tickets to these idiots for impeding traffic flow.
