87 octane fuel in the Z

This thread was dead for almost a year, I'm sure he's worked that 87 octane out by now

Will it destroy your engine, of course not. But there is most definitely a difference and I just don't see a reason to ignore the manufacturers recommendations over something so trivial. Believe it or not sometime engineers actually know what their doing

Running 87? No Problem Just Push the Button....THREAD IS DEAD :P Just don't use 87 unless you absolutely have no choice....

As others have mentioned, you may experience slight loss of performance, but that's about it. If you had a turbo car, you'd notice it a lot more.

If you drive you car easily, and don't track it or whatever, you will never notice a difference, even if you used 87 for prolonged periods of time. Just keep your maintenance up.
